The most pious (closer to God) people in Christianity are not allowed to marry i.e priests and nuns. So if all the Christians were to become very religious and become priests and nuns, how would Christianity survive after they all die? Since they would not have any children to continue the religion.

Don't you think this system is man-made? Because God would not create man and woman and then ask them to not marry each other.

He created Adam and Eve, and they were the closest to God, since they lived in Paradise. But they still married. And most of the Prophets who are also considered closest people to God also got married.

So why Christianity promotes this unhealthy and unnatural system?

I said priests and nuns are closer to God than others (in Christianity), because that is the case in most of the times (but not necassarily all the time).

Piety is not limited to priests and nuns. God blesses the holiness of men and women and the sanctity of single blessedness for those who can bear with it for the sake of total service to God.

However, the premise, if considered, will not hold because that is contrary to natural law of generation inherent in the creation of man and the need to propagate his kind. That is why there is sex - male and female of all genus of vertebrates and invertebrates, and the natural attraction with pleasure to propel it.

Priests and nuns are God's elect with the gift of celibacy and total dedication to serve God in the most special way. That gift will remain only for as long as they are able to take hold, otherwise, if it they cannot continue holding it, they are free to return it and leave the portals of the convents and still remain religious in another calling or vocation like marriage and service-oriented status of life.

God respects man's freedom of choice and loves to see His people exercising that freedom in promoting His Kingdom on earth. His Son and Prophet Jesus said "The Kingdom of God is here."

You think priests and nuns don't reproduce? There are many types of Christianity, some of which allow the priests to marry.
I also think it's funny that you assume the people closest to God are the priests and nuns. Just because someone decides to become a priest or nun doesn't make him or her any closer to God. Only God can determine that.
By the way, MIRIAM, Catholics ARE Christian. As are Lutherans, etc.

Well first lets start by dispelling what you've gotten wrong. In the Catholic church, the Church leaders are not allowed to marry. This is a personal choice by them and seen as a gift from God (the gift of celibacy). Catholic doctrine states that not everyone has this gift i.e. not everyone is a religious leader. And that's just the Catholic Christians.

Protestant and Eastern Christian leaders are allowed to marry and have children, though some still choose a life of celibacy. The Bible says to be fruitful and multiply.

Steps back, jump shot, swish, and that's the game!!

'The most pious (closer to God) people in Christianity are not allowed to marry ' this statement is false. You can be pious and live a perfectly good christian life without being a priest or a nun.

Actually, your first sentence is incorrect. The Catholic church doesn't consider priests and nuns any "closer" to God just because they have given their lives to His service. Vocation, whether as an ordained priest, a consecrated religious brother or sister, a married person, or a single person, is viewed equally in the eyes of God and the eyes of the church. Those who take religious vows or are ordained, vow chastity so that they can give all of themselves in the service of others and to God.

So basically, your whole question could never happen.

But, thought provoking nonetheless.

Fortunately, for the reason you list above, God does not call all of us to the priesthood or to the religious life. In Catholicism, some of us are called to the married life. No matter what life you are called to, it is called your vocation (calling by God). The vocation to which you are called (married life or single) is God's preferred route to holiness for you. He is your creator and He knows what path will lead you closest to Him. Being married does not mean that you are less "pious"--for that matter, being a priest or a nun or a brother does mean that you are more pious!!! Piety is discerning God's will as best we can and following through with it--not matter what God's calling is.

Thanks for reading and God Bless!

That's why Catholics have priests, nuns and the lay people.

One can be very religious and not be called to the priesthood or convent.

Everyone has their own calling to follow whether it is as a parent, teacher, cop, soldier, etc.

Not all Christian denominations require their "most pious" (by your definition) to be chaste. And let me tell you, there are a lot of members of the laity who are extremely pious. Not only that, Christians are all part of the "priestly people of God" by virtue of our baptism.

the same way they claim that Isa (saws) was born.

Or just continue to rape the nuns like they have in the past (that is, the ones who dont have the freaky fetish for the little boys)
