Especially at night time, I sometimes hear a high pitched sound - you know the kind that electrical equipment makes? Here's the kicker: I unplug all electric stuff at night.

Do you hear it too? Or is it Just me?

My dad's van's user manual is in dutch, and now a warning light is lit on the cluster and trying to translate what the user manual says about it on babelfish is getting us nowhere. The symbol is a lightbulb with an exclamation mark inside, and we can tell it's something about lamps (dah!!), but can't understand what is the actual problem. Could anyone who speaks Dutch please read this small text and explain us the problem? Thank you very much!

De controlelamp gaat branden als bij draaiende motor enn gloeilamp of zekering defect is. Als er een remlicht van het achterlicht is uitgevallen, gaat de controlelamp bij het remmen branden, en gaat pas weer uit als de motor wordt afgezet.

Als alleen het derde remlicht is uitgevallen, gaat de controlelamp niet branden.

I love buying antiques and have a few.....do you think the previous owner left "traces" on them? like could that person still be "attached" to it and follow that item where ever it goes? do you think they get angry/happy/sad when someone else buys it and calls it their own? has anyone had an expericence with this?

...wouldn't it be fair to ask these religious people to keep all of their religious activity to the privacy of their churches? That can be as upsetting as two gays kissing are upsetting to them.

BTW, no. I'm not gay. But I'm closer to the gay movement than I am to the religious world.

My parents applied for a foriegn exchange student to come live in our home. He is like from Africa or something. Last night was his first night. He said that it was a custom in his country that when someone is a guest in someones home that that person must sleep in the room of the youngest person of the opposite sex. Guess who is the youngest? Me!! My parents totally fell for it and gave him the bed and made me a pallet on the floor right next to him. He said that he wanted to teach me some things about his customs. My parents are so excited for me to learn about the world!! So last night after everyone went to bed he got these "toys" out of his luggage. I was scared and said that I was tired and didn't want to learn anything right then. But, tonight my parents said that I must stay in my room and let him teach me and he keeps saying that he can't wait for tonight!! I don't know, because sometimes I am a little clueless, but I think that he wants to have sexual relations!!!

Twice I have been in Starbucks and the women's bathroom is either lacking toilet paper, or occupied for a really long time. Yesterday after a venti Sumatra I couldn't wait for the bathroom to get emptied so I went into the mens room. They are identical bathrooms. I don't think I did anything wrong, but one of my friends disagrees...anyone have an opinion on this?
