convince you to not be an athiest,
ok,
get a paper bag (brown grocery bag) place it on a table and fill it with many different things,
now convince yourself through LOGIC that that bag is not there.
write it down on paper, and review it, when you have convinced yourself that the bag is not there, rip the side out of it....
does everything fall all over the place,,if it does why did it fall, what was holding them there, remember the bag is not there to hold them.
so the pieces must not be there either, look at each piece and convince yourself that it is not there. and when it is done leave the mess,
when someone comes into the house and sees the mess and asks you about it, convince them that there is no mess because there was no bag to hold the nonexistent mess in.
now ask yourself if random evolution could produce a mind that could figure this all out of was there some higher power behind it.
and if there were a higher power, is the power the bag or the mess. is it the sum of the contents of a vessel, or the vessel itself, or is it both.

I can not prove to you that God exists even though I know it without a shadow of doubt; only God can do that. I will venture to suggest that because God requires us to exercise our faith when receiving His gracious gift of salvation, that however convincing (or convicting) the evidence may be, it will always fall short of total proof for some. It would not be faith otherwise.
But when I gave may heart to Jesus, I just knew it had to be done, not because I had total proof but because I had been convicted by what I believed to be overwhelming evidence, in truth it was the convicting power of God's Holy Spirit.
It was not until I had invited Jesus to be my Lord and Saviour that God provided the proof, a renewed spirit. I will never forget the cleansed feeling that accompanied being totally forgiven, being "born again" in Christ. Truly Awesome.
May God’s Holy Spirit draw you into repentance and into a born again relationship with the Creator of the Universe. Amen

Far be it from me to change anyone's beliefs. If you want to be an atheist, fine! The only thing it will accomplish for you is a passport to Hell! The only proof I can give you that God exists, is to look in a mirror. What do you see? That person staring back at you was created by God in His image. At the risk of trying to second-guess the Creator, I'm sure that even in his infinite wisdom, he has regretted creating certain individuals. That being said, I will now say this: I'd rather live my life believing that God exists and then die and find out He doesn't, than live like He doesn't exist and then die and find out HE DOES! 'nuff said?

Theologian karl barth is famous for saying "only God reveals God." meaning, you can read and study all the scripture you want while attending church 3 times a week and studying all the sciences and you will still never be able to prove God's existance. God can not be reduced to a mathematical equasion or a logical propostition. The only way one can know for certain if God is real, is if God personally reveals Himself to the individual. Once this happens, you will have no external evidence to definitvly proff God exists, but you will know internally. That is how it always worked. Look at the number of times Jesus said, "those of you with ears to hear, let them hear, and eyes to see, see." God gives the eyes and ears to see and hear his message. Study the bible all you want. it will read liek an other piece of literature until the Spirit breaths life into it, and speaks to you. There is no other way.

Think of this, we feel love but cannot see it, we feel fear but it's not visible. How can we as beings have these invisible powers to see beyond what is visible to the eye. We just know it's there. And that's what you need to do about god. Evolution and us evolving from monkey's and what not, thats fine it might explain the physical aspects of being a person. but how can you explain the love for your parents,or your spouse, the tears that trickle down your face when your sad, can a monkey do that. No it's a gift from god. If you want proof god exists. Look in your heart and believe that just because you cant "see" something doesnt mean it doesn't exist. It's just hard for me to imagine that I go from loving, concious person to worm food and thats it.

If your de-conversion depends on that proof, I'd de-convert without further delay. There is no proof of god's existence. All there is is wishful thinking and far-fetched interpretations of the world. But actual proof, capable of convincing someone skeptical, I'm afraid you're not going to find.

Dear Sweet Soul...
Jesus loves you. God wants a relationship with you. This isn't about religion.
Religion is man's way of trying to reach God.
Relationship is God's way of reaching us, through Jesus Christ.
I can not talk you into believing in the living God.
I would recommend reading the New Testament. Start with John.
If you don't want to read His Word, then pray and ask for His guidance. He is faithful.

There's an edge to what you say that makes me think you might want some better input than these Yahoo blurbs. Religion can be very important, even central to some people.
So even though you'd probably call me an atheist, I'd recommend some deep follow up with people whose opinion you respect - yes, even those in the clergy.

It cannot be proven, but believing in God is by faith, and if one looks at the world that was created thousands of years ago and still not believe in a higher power, than it really isn't for them, but without God none of what is in the world, or around it, would exist. Just look at the complexity of a simple human being, we are complex beings, and nothing but a higher power could have created us. Many scientists, after researching, and researching, came to be Christians, for what they could not explain was only answerable with God in the picture. So no God cannot be proven, but He doesn't need to be, faith is all it takes.
