I heard they pay the full price of the textbook, whereas textbook411.com, half.com, and others do not. Is this true?

not likely, but you'll probably get most of your money back if you sell it in an online auction

i'm not sure why a publisher would want the book they sold to a retailer to sell to you?

try someone taking the class who needs the books. i hope it's not an Economics book. If so, open it and read it.
