I used yahoo answers categories to make up vocabulary lists so that i can learn more vocab in english because my vocab now is limited,, but also in japanese because i study it. Then besides the yahoo categories..i get more ideas for sub sub categories.. then also i made up some of my own categories.Then to get actual vocab i go to wikipedia or some encyclopedia thing in the web and i search the topic..then i get many words about the subject from articles about it. It's fun.
But anyways, some Categories of words..like Car Audio....Lesbian( i made this category up), Robots and AI( i made this category up)...I'm not involved in this things so is it even worth it to learn?

I have encountered someone who had a very negative impact on my life, though I only knew him briefly. A name means nothing to me, because I was only 11. I only have a very strong feeling that this is the same person, but he says there is no way he could be...I must be confusing him with someone else?

what the pope said about islam should at least make muslims think. if muslims dont learn a lesson and start interpreting islam in a humane contex the criticisms they receive will only keep getting worse .
muslims we dont live in a world shaped by tribal desert values anymore, and dont you think its time to change your religion to suit this modern world?

Islam was spread by Muhammed , Islam's FOUNDER, and his army when they subjugated the Arabian peninsula. The Koran lists times when to wage war is appropriate called 'Jihad'. 'Jihad" is still practiced.
Now before u compare Islam to Judaism or Christianity, think: Jews don't claim to be peaceful; you touch them they kill you AND they think killing to get what God wants them to have is ok. Abraham and Moses never said otherwise.
The Christian founder, Jesus, not only was peaceful, he died rather than let his followers defend him. Now Jesus' followerslater did screw up his ideas, but Jesus himself professed peace and practiced it.
So: 1.Jews: Founders preach and practice ' eye for an eye'/followers practice; 2.Christians; founder preached and practiced 'turn the other cheek'/followers preach peace, practice war.; 3.Muslims? Founder preached and practiced both peace and war, followers preach peace, practice war. Get pissed when called on it. What's up?

Just because it seems things are *complex* or *higher order* or even *irreducible complexity* or appear to be *intelligently designed* doesn't mean that there *had to be a creator*.

Saying we have a purpose therefor there must be a God, I just don't see how that makes sense.

There might be a God I don't know. I just don't how saying "will there must be" means that there is.

Your thoughts on my thoughts please . . . .

when the irani president said the holokost never happened the whole world standed up in his face and all western leaders were very angry..now when the pope insults the prophet of Islam the same leaders think that the muslims are overreactiong?no you are unfaire and this is the truth..you get mad when someone says any word about jews or the holokost and when muslims are insulted you don't move a toe? do you believe this is insane like i do?

Well this is basically what happened between Isaac Newton,(by the way, A SCIENTIST) and his friend who observed a certain "model of the universe or something" in Isaac Newton's room and asked Isaac Newton,"Who made this?" and Isaac Newton responded "No one" and the friend asked again "Who made this model"...and Newton responded again "No one"...and the friend eventually commented that "this model can't just be there without a designer" and Isaac Newton responded that his friend does not believe that there is a God who created the universe but refuses to acknowledge that the model could not have been there without a designer!Common sense!

Ok!Answer my question guys...Let atheists prove to be nice people please, as we deal with this illustration...

As Christians, we are all called to witness about our faith and talk openly about Jesus. Now don't get me wrong, that's a good thing to do. But my problem is with certain people who do it.
Like I know a LOT of people who call themselves Christians. But they come in to work or school or whatever, and they don't act like it. They're rude, they're snobby, they cuss at people, they act worse than the worldly people.
And then two seconds later they're all talking about God and saying you need to go to church.
My feeling is, people like this should not be encouraged to witness because they're doing more harm than good.
I understand we all make mistakes. I'm not saying only "perfect" people should witness, cause then no one would.
But shouldn't the church at least try to hold up a standard?

and threatened people with death. Yet when the Pope makes a speech which offend some Muslims (mainly those who haven't read the speech) why is it o.k. for muslims to burn effegies of the pope? Isn't that far more disrespectful than the cartoons.
