1 Cor 10:23-24. That is the only christian requirement.

There is no reason why "tithe". a tax in the Jewish state to support the central government would be applicable to a Christian communicate. There are 613 commandments given to Israel, and not one is binding to non Jews.

Recommendation: Find another Church.

whilst the bible teaches tithing commencing interior the previous testomony and persevering with into the hot testomony, the previous testomony provides the regulations on while to tithe. Deuteronomy 14:28 & Deuteronomy 26:12 are sparkling which you in hassle-free terms tithe the 0.33 year, not each year, nor a week, or month. Amos 4:4 takes it greater and tells you to make an offering daily, (does not say how plenty or how little), and tithes after 3 years. 1 Samuel 15:22 is sparkling that God is plenty greater excited approximately obedience to him quite than sacrifices or tithes. So, as long as you reside a holy life, tithing, freewill selections, are secondary at terrific.

I used to tithe regularly, but then I left my church and haven't found a new one yet.

I believe you should tithe partly to the church (I mean that is how they keep the lights on) and you should also give to charity. But the tithing and the offering is important.

You can't be a wicked person then buy God's favor by tithing.

We tithe in church; affording it is not an issue. However, we cannot take it off our taxes, because we don't make enough money to pay federal taxes.

I can't afford not to.. The blessings of God are upon my life and he has freed me up to give much more than the tithe.. I give the tithe and then give more when I see it is needed and it is a lot of fun to give to God's work.. Giving is one of the JOYS of being a christian.. He always gives back to me many times more...but then that was his promise.. He is my Father and HE takes care of me..

Sure why not?
It is much less then I was spending on drugs and alcohol before I sobered up. I have not had a finance problem sense we started giving to the church. Remember though. Only give what you want to give cheerfully. If anyone says anything different run for your wallet because you are in the midst of fleecers. They like the wool of GOD's sheep.

GOD bless ya.
