Especially the hypocritical Muslims who preach peace and practice violence everytime they don't get their own way. Why can't the Christians and the Muslims settle their differences on the football pitch. Just imagine if all the religeons got football teams up together. It might just work as long as we don't have the Pope or Bin Laden as referee.

-I'm not sure what that means.
I hope it means that god will be with us in hell to help us.

What do you think it means?

First I would like to point out that I am a believer. What I would like to point out and get your thoughts on is this: People always seem to try and give some empirical proof for God (as if that will ever happen) like the "Design" theory, but what iritates me is that we are worshipping a being whose nature we don't even understand.

Lets say he exists for one moment and then ask ourselves the following questions: What does think of gay marriage, abortion, jihads etc. Some think these things I've mentioned are ok in Gods eyes others not etc etc etc.

What's your thoughts on that?

As a final thought I would just like to ad that I think it's a waist that so many people are trying to prove God instead of understanding him.

Some rich people with all the money they have, turn out to be murderers. Why can't they settle their disputes in a peaceful manner? I watched them all on Court TV. many people would like to be in their shoes in terms of wealth and privilege, yet they throw it all away.

If faith in your religion is the answer to all your problems then what prevents you from flying a plane into a building or burning people at the stake?

Why are there alcoholic preists?

Why are there more churches in economically depressed communities? Why don't those communities seem to get better?

I am a person of faith (Buddhist), so this is only constructive criticism. I will not pick anything hateful as a best answer.

I said literal since, because I feel I'm the son of God, but not in the literal since that I was implanted into a virgin, or I am Gods only begotten son, but in a since that "IF" God created the world and all thats in it, then that makes him my father, and since Jesus said not to call anyone father untill he returns then ~*moving my hand looking for ansers in the air *~.

I know that somewhere in the bible after Matthew and mark there is a passage that dispute this, that Mary and her sons didn't pretty much call him crazy, and that Mary was by his side when he died, which she wasn't (two other Marys but not his mother), and what else when jesus pretty much denied them as his family, "who is my mother, who is my brother", 'you are all my mothers, you are all my brothers", or basicaly saying those who believe in me are my family(this last line you all are going to knock me for, but that how i interpreted that line in the bible).

"death metal" music or heavy metal music is to blame for murders that are committed by teens? I saw a program on A&E the other day that was concerning this matter. I personally don't care for this type of music, but, I am interested in your opinions.

The pope says something stupid, what's new? He's an old silly man, who has only a symbolic function on this planet. You can agree or disagree with the symobolism of his job, but it's still just an old man with a symbolic job.

He made the connection between Islam and violence. Reaction from some muslim-groups to disprove this: threaten the pope with violence...That's kinda what the pope was talking about, you silly people!

All the muslims I know won't agree with that small group of violent muslims. All the Catholics I know won't agree with the generalized statement of the connection between Islam and violence.

So, why is this such a big issue? Why don't Muslims just laugh about it, and mock the pope? It would do their cause much more good.

The pope also quoted a 14th-century Byzantine emperor who said innovations introduced by the Prophet Mohammed were "evil and inhuman,,,

why quote what some person said 700 years ago.

if pope really wanted peace between christians and muslims,, then whats the need of quoting that ??? why not to quote what other non-muslims says about Muhammad pbuh.

"His readiness to undergo persecutions for his beliefs, the high moral character of the men who believed in him and looked up to him as leader, and the greatness of his ultimate achievement - all argue his fundamental integrity. To suppose Muhammad an impostor raises more problems than it solves. Moreover, none of the great figures of history is so poorly appreciated in the West as Muhammad." [W. Montgomery Watt, MOHAMMAD AT MECCA, Oxford, 1953, p. 52.]

"Muhammad was the soul of kindness, and his influence was felt and never forgotten by those around him." [Diwan Chand Sharma, The Prophets of the East, Calcutta 1935, p. l 22.]
