A. The Genesis story of Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden is literally true. The story tells how the earth was formed, how life began, and how evil entered into creation. The narrative is only helpful to human beings if we interpret the biblical creation story as the history of interactions between God and humans in the past.

B. The Genesis story of Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden is a metaphor. It teaches that each of us has been given a paradise that we spoiled when we gave into temptation. The narrative is only helpful if we can identify with Adam and Eve in our present lives, and their historic existence is ultimately immaterial.

In Genesis 5 we have the generations of Adam all the way to Noah and his sons. Cain is not mentioned as a child of Adam. Abel is not mention either because he did not have any children.

I am interested in helping others and I believe that I would enjoy entering a program on the lines of the Peace Corps. I have a three-year-old daughter that is with me all the time, so it would be imperative that she be able to go with me. I think it would be a wonderful experience for both of us. I would be curious to know if there is program on this order that allows US citizens to help others in our country that are in need.

If you were to die, and not peacefully, maybe murdered or in some crashes or something like that, in which way would you like to die? And I do not want crappy answers like 'in the arms of the one that I love'..

Miracles are something considered to be of divine origin. Therefore, can miracles be of a negative impact. If so, why, if not, why not.

And also, if they can't be bad, why is there "Acts of God" In insurance.

I'm still bewildered by the ever present hatred between the races. I'm Black/Mexican and still face racist remarks from whites. I live in a community where the whites hate the blacks and the blacks hate the whites and everybody hates the mexicans. Personally I hate all who are unproductive and worthless no matter what race they are. But if racism has to exist, why cant it be directed to the groups that actually are a threat to the US.

FYI, all drug dealers are not Black and Mexican. who do you think makes the majority of Meth. Blacks and Mexicans are not solely commiting all the crime in the US. Blacks are not the only recipients of welfare. The only people that are keeping Blacks down are ourselves. And the Reason America thinks so is mostly due to the White controlled media. Of all the Black run publications I have rarely seen White only crimes headlined. racism will never die, so lets at least put it to good use.

i luv how that word...allegory, is now used to describe the bible. no more literal translation as it seems to far fetched. what was that last verse in revelations.....oh ya, dont change one word of tha bible or your damned to hell--but its still an allegory right?

For example, you just finished your coffee,juice,milk or tea and you wanted to drink water right away. Do you want a new glass of water or is it alright that you just pour over water from the pitcher to your used cup/mug/glass.

not all judges or all teachers get paid the same but the majority does.Most the teachers are spending 5 days a week 8 hours or more a day to teach kids.judges have maybe 3 hours or more to say whether or not some one is guilty. No it's not the easiest decision to make.I think teachers should get paid morewith less requirements to teach because some schools (mine) get books that are so big yet we only have school 8 hours a day by the end of the year we are lucky to cover 3 chapters out of 24 unless we just skimmed through then we wouldn't learn anything.I just think that personally teachers should make more then judges after all they do for students.Some teachers even change kids around from doing things they shouldn't be doing judges send them away and yet some of those kids and adults still never learn,even if they do get out. They don't teach them what they should do or they could do they just point out there faults instead of helping them.Teachers try helping students best they can.

I have read many comments from some atheist and other non-believers and they continually say that All Christains are trying to destroy the world and they hate Christians. What bunch of crap.
