Very good point, since they are forbidden to light a fire on the sabbath and using computers IS LIGHTING FIRES, that is, electronic ones in the system.

Where do you get that it is a Jewish Sabbath? Where was the Jew when God made the day holy, when the Commandments were given to the Hebrews, any time in the first millinea? If you knew of what you speak you would know it is not Jewish but God's Sabbath and you, in following Sunday worship, are following the Pope of Rome and Satan's day. Jew came from the tribe of Judah, which was not around when God created the day or blessed and hallowed it and made it special. There was no Jew around when He gave the Commandments to Moses, so where do you get that it is a Jewish Sabbath? Because your priest told you so? He knows better but your ignorance of the fact is unexcusable as you have the bible to look at. Show me one place in the bible that says it is a Jewish thing and I will gladly give you $25,000 cash money today.

Okay...there are three (actually four) branches of Judaism. The Orthodox Jews are the most observant and precisely follow all the laws and rituals. The Conservative Jews believe that the laws and rituals can change with the times. The Reform Jews believe that individuals can make choices about which laws and rituals to follow. The Reconstructionist Jews...well, I don't know much about them. And, no, resting in bed is not part of any laws and rituals. So I choose not to follow the particular law that says no working on the Sabbath. And that's the beauty of Judaism! You don't have to strictly follow every single tenet and you can still be a Jew! Isn't that wonderful?

No they should be getting together, celebrating, apreciating and giving thanks for the beauty of God's creation, just as Sunday keeping Christians should be doing tommorrow. But not everyone lives up 100% to the ideals they espouse.
Let he who is without sin...
