Oh yes.. It is done all the time but very few people win... It is unfortunate that the taxpayer has to foot the bill for the incompetence and stupidity of the archaic American judicial system... It is run(judges, etc) by idiots and one should expect nothing less than what is going on now.

Well I am sure if I was charged for a crime that I Didn't commit and was sent to prison wrongfully..I would do more than sue the state I ask for money to compensate what I could have made if I was working full time, VIP treatment, and much more.

As long as you can prove i mean have serious proof that you were wrongly imprisoned then yea and make sure you get a really good lawyer to help you out. if not your chances of winning are very few.

convinced, i imagine that the authorities might want to offer money to those who're wrongly imprisoned. the quantity of money might want to be what there income replaced into even as incarcerated in line with 365 days plus a $500 in line with 6 months bonus to atone for criminal costs of the kin.

Yes, they can and do. The odds of winning aren't all that good, but if you can document the facts, find a liability plaintiff's attorney and do it. If the state has to pay now and again, it may get more careful.
