* 1 Chronicles 21:1-14 - god kills 70000 people. Why? David decided to take a census (I guess only god is allowed to do that).
* Numbers 16:35-49 - god kills 15000 people. Why? They were angry about an earlier incident where god killed 250 people who were burning incense without permission.
* Numbers 25:1-9 - god kills 24000 people. Why? They were whoring around.
* Judges 1:4, 3:28-29 - god kills 10000 Canaanites, Perizzites, and 10000 Moabites. Why? Just because, that's why.
* Isaiah 37:1-36 - god kills 185000 Assyrians. Why? Their king and his men mocked god.
* 1 Samuel 6:19 - god kills 50000 people. Why? They looked into the Ark of the Covenant. I can't even pretend to understand this one.
* Amos 5:1-3 - god threatens to kill 90% of all Israelites when the tribe abandon him.

I think Israeli's are the toughest business people in the world. You would agree that Dr Henry Kissinger was the toughest negotiator in the 70's. In africa a lot of bussinesses are owned by indians.I guess the africans are scared of losing out. The are not racist but just envious of the Indian's ability to transact deals well!

I don't want to follow any of the rest of it like slavery or hateing gay people, I just want two wives.

Can I do that and still live under grace?

What about the people who grow up in isolation or in faraway lands where the teachings of christianity are unheard of? Are these people exempted somehow, since they've never had a chance to accept the christian god? Does god give them a break when they die, and judge them based on how they lived their lives? Or does god give them a chance to repent and accept him before he judges them?

How does the verse from Kings 17:26 which tells the charming story of how god sent lions to kill an undisclosed number of people in Samaria who had never heard of him affect your thoughts?

PROPOSED PRAYER BAN FOR WOMEN:

JIDDAH, Saudi Arabia -- Officials are considering an unprecedented proposal to ban women from performing Muslim prayers in the immediate vicinity of Islam's most sacred shrine in Mecca. Some say women are already being kept away.

The issue has raised a storm of protest, with some women saying they fear the move is meant to restrict women's roles in Saudi society even further.

But the religious authorities behind the proposal insist its real purpose is to lessen the chronic problem of overcrowding.

It was un-clear why the step was being considered now, but officials say they have growing concerns about overcrowding.

The chief of the King Fahd Institute for Hajj Research, which is behind the plan, said the restrictions are already in place.

But Sheik Youssef Khzeim, deputy chief of the Presidency of the Two Holy Mosques Affairs, denied the reports.

"This is still a study and nothing has been implemented," Khzeim said.

I'm usually more on the sceptical side of this, but here's what just happened. Last night I stayed up till half past five in the morning working, and went to work virtually without any sleep, so I simply had to leave the work earlier and come home and take a nap during the daytime. And during that nap, I had this dream. It was quite logically arranged, however, it seemed like "part two" of the story. I was this nice happy single girl living in an appartment (a little similar to my actual one, but not the same), and suddenly I discovered three pet wild animals - a wolf (or a wolfhound), a kestrel, and can't remember the third one, but he also was a bird. However, it turned out that I had somehow managed to forget and abandon those pets, and they were crippled and disfigured (the kestrel couldn't move his wings because he didn't get to fly in the appartment and hadn't been out for too long). I was in such a shame and shock and pitty, that I started to cry, and they I...

The almighty has always been here. Col 1:15 and Rev 3:14Jesus was created.
The angels are not dead people but direct creations by god.
Psalms148:2,.5
So why do they say that Jesus is God and the angels are dead people? Isn't that not what the bible says.

that God got it wrong back then or He changed his mind?

For example -- no one advocates following this one:

10 " 'If a man commits adultery with another man's wife—with the wife of his neighbor—both the adulterer and the adulteress must be put to death.
Leviticus 20:10 (New International Version)

Lots of reasons you should be killed in this book.

A Christian friend of mine told me that it's considered dirty and against god's law to try different positions, oral sex and other unconventional sex acts. I've heard this from other Christians too. What do other Christians think?
