I'm usually more on the sceptical side of this, but here's what just happened. Last night I stayed up till half past five in the morning working, and went to work virtually without any sleep, so I simply had to leave the work earlier and come home and take a nap during the daytime. And during that nap, I had this dream. It was quite logically arranged, however, it seemed like "part two" of the story. I was this nice happy single girl living in an appartment (a little similar to my actual one, but not the same), and suddenly I discovered three pet wild animals - a wolf (or a wolfhound), a kestrel, and can't remember the third one, but he also was a bird. However, it turned out that I had somehow managed to forget and abandon those pets, and they were crippled and disfigured (the kestrel couldn't move his wings because he didn't get to fly in the appartment and hadn't been out for too long). I was in such a shame and shock and pitty, that I started to cry, and they I...

...told myself to get myself together, because despite their looks, I really really loved those animals. So I started taking care of them, and they slowly recovered, though not completely. In the end, the wolf seemed the healthiest, and the kestrel the sickest, however, they all seemed happy and friendly and loved me. So it was a happy ending of sorts. I don't normally believe in some supernatural meanings of dreams, but now I got this intuition that something is trying to tell me that I've forgotten or abandonded some very important part or my life or myself... And it's kinda spooky with all the mythical references laid out so clearly...

Not in any mystical sort of sense. A lot of psychologists today, though, feel that what's important about dreams are the emotions -- your sleeping mind takes the random thoughts firing off and gloms them onto emotions that you're feeling in your awake time.

Examine how you were feeling in the dream, and what makes you FEEL that way, and you may have a better idea "what the dream was about." The actual items in the dream have little significance.

I feel some dreams have meanings but only if your in a situation were, for example, you fancy this guy then you have a dream were the relationship goes wrong etc etc. This is your heart telling you not to get involved and its not just the typical boyfriend girlfriend scenario this works on.

Your dream seems to me like your brain was picking up or reflecting something that had happened that day or in the week before hand. Maybe you had watched a film with a wolf in or you had seen animals that had been mistreated.

I want a dog for my birthday (28th September) but my boyfriend wont let me because we both work all day and therefore the dog would be on its own all the time! That night he had said no, i had a dream that i had a dog and i did leave it on its own all the time and it died beacause he was so sad!

I realy feel that was my heart telling me not to get a dog!! What do you think?

Try not to worry too much, i do truly feel this was just a reflection of things you had seen that week. Hope this helps

I do believe that dreams have meaning. I think you are probably right about the dreams meaning...that maybe you need to be more aware of something specific in your life...I heard somewhere, that the people/animals in our dreams represent a part of ourselves. Maybe the wold is the really strong side of you or what ever your biggest quality is...the Kestrel that could not fly could mean that you feel that something is restricting you in your life and you may need to focus on a way to make it healthy. The third that you can remember is something small that may be an inclination to some other issue you can work on. Our lives can affect others, and one of the best ways to truly love others is to work on ourselves. I know I have to work on things everyday.

I hope all works out for you.

All relevant to the human beings existence as a species with the power of thought and reason (and if you are religous also the power of manipulation).
Other animals dont have such a complex environment to live under as the human has developed over many tens of thousands of years so dont have such a great physcological need to dream. Although other animals will still experience dreams as wide as their own environment - probably stretching from there mating instincts(good dream !) to their natural predators(for their version of a nightmare!).

So, dreams experienced by any animal could have a relevance to a past event, or maybe as part of the bodies training method to survive the next day by being prepared. Survival of the fittest and natural selection and all that ?.

What if the three pets were aspects of yourself, which have been ignored and uncared for, lack of sleep which usually means poor short term diet. I am tying the dream in with your immediate life experiences. The wolf, or wolfhound could be your over all strength, the kestrel maybe is your flights of fantasy as in enjoyment of life, the other bird your personal beauty, as you see it. I'm not claiming to be 100% correct but I hope to get you thinking.

Some psychics also believe that the subconscious mind possesses a kind of "hidden energy" or "potential" that can realize dreams and thoughts, with minimal conscious effort or action from the individual. Some also believe that the subconscious has an "influencing power" in shaping one's destiny. All such claims, however have so far failed to stand up to scientific scrutiny.

Personally, i feel that dreams have meanings when they seem the most real to us. Usually, those that you can remember particularly well are those that serve as life lessons to us to take heed in our lives. From the way your dream turned out, i agree with you that there might be some people whom you have neglected in the past or hurt and someday you will meet them again to show your concern for them.

The wolf signifies an avaricious, cruel and disloyal person;

Birds entering a house foretells approaching losses, sometimes of friends but mostly of money.

To dream of a pair of birds or any other animal signifies the birth of a son.

Sometimes dreams are your subconscious trying to sort out your real life. Is there anything in your life that you are neglecting? And if you are, are there dire consequences, could things get worse if you don't take care of them?
That's all I have except that you will never pet-set for me.
