is it because without the idea of original sin there would be no need for jesus?

original sin is a pretty traumatic concept. how can anybody possibly think people are born sinful? dont you see how good people are every day? or do you only see the bad in people?

Hands up if you've described yourself as a sinner when you've done nothing worse than pick your nose or take a cookie without first asking permission? Come on, confession is good for the soul.

Remember, sin is an abomination:

so you can't be a sinner unless you've done something abominable.

How about helping the millions of people that REALLY need it down in Darfur.
Why does everybody has to wait until there's massive massacres to actually care? The Holocaust, the Rwandan genocide, people started caring and making tons of money from movies, documentaries etc ... AFTER millions of people died!!
WHY?

My good friend (who happens to be a youth leader) and I have taken to calling this book "Driving the Purpose Out of Life". It's like a poor re-hashing of every sermon you've ever heard, only watered down by the opinion of one man. They made us read it in Bible School, and nothing in it was new, inspiring, beautiful, or exciting. However, my mother and every other middle-aged modern-day Christian seems to think that this book is a 'revelation.' Has it really positively affected people, and how? and why? Or is it just a book for 'new' christians who won't be discouraged by the book's dullness, and will find it's contents new and exciting?

Does this hundred years lapse not create opportunity for people to glorify what jesus did? he might have preached goodness, but anyone will tell you a story changes with time, and we are talking about alot of time lapse here. And not to mention there are different variations of the testament, wonder how that works out.

The women (or most of them) are in it for the needed $ and some of them are even sold into prostitution as SLAVES. The men are the ones who are in it for the sex and whose hearts are in the wrong place. MEN are the reason prostitution exists. And they have the audacity to call THEM the sluts? Why are men always the one to judge and call them "dirty hos" when they're the most sexually immoral ones themselves? Stop and think about this.

In Islam, marriage is a great ceremony and on the end, a person named
(Mawlana) reads something from Quran and says joining of them (Nekah) is finished.
Without this joint ( Nekah) their sex will be prohibited ( Haram) and if they have child with out (Nekah) then the child will be illegal (Harami) as Islam rules and people call the child (Harami)

My question is:
You Muslims believe that all we humans are sons and daughters of Adam and eve, so at the time of their marriage and sex there was not any (Mawlana) to joint them as (Nekah) and truly they never had a (Nekah).
Then all we humans must be (Harami) ???

Can he blame us if we sin or don't do things the way he wants us too, esp. with all the different views out there?
It doens't seem right we have to pay for what 2 idiots did in the Garden of Eden 6000 years ago. If he told me flat out taking form the sky not to eat an apple or whatever it is, I wouldn't touch the thing. I'd cordone the area off dig a moat around it.

When God led the people of Israel out of slavery in Egypt, He told them
to prepare for a quick departure by making bread without yeast. He
gave instructions to remember their departure through the celebration
of Passover - also called the Feast of Unleavened Bread. During this
celebration there was a seven day period when yeast was not even
allowed in the home: "For seven days no yeast is to be found in your
houses. And whoever eats anything with yeast in it must be cut off from
the community of Israel" (Exodus 12:19).
When God established the various offerings through Moses, yeast became
associated with an unworthy sacrifice; "Every grain offering you bring
to the Lord must be made without yeast" (Leviticus 2:11).

About 1500 years later, Jesus used the symbolism of yeast to give His
disciples an important warning.

Luke 12:1
"Be on your guard against the yeast of the Pharisees, which is hypocrisy."

What is the present situation?

LONDON - Two hospitals in northwestern England will be offering head-to-toe gowns for Muslim women who request them, officials said Tuesday.

The burqa-style blue gown will be available from Nov. 1 for patients served by the Lancashire Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. The trust operates two hospitals, the Royal Preston, and the Chorley and South Ribble.

"I noticed a gap in the market and thought that it would be great if there was a gown that helped to preserve a patient's modesty," said Karen Jacob, linen services manager for the trust, who designed the product.

Jacob said the gown could be adapted to show a user's whole face, or to expose only a strip across the eyeline.

The hospitals are believed to be the first in Britain to offer the full-cover gown.

Read an article recently where someone argues this to be true - although my first reaction was that it could not possibly be so.

However, the more you think about it in terms of expanding population and how many new humans each of us "makes" it starts to make a weird kind of sense.

That and it melts your brain!
Enjoy!
