There might be circumstances where a store must close, or at least close\lock some if not all of the doors. For instance, if the place is short staffed, it would be wise to limit the number of entrance and exits to inhibit shoplifting or robberies. The remaining doors could be more easily watched. Or say there is a weather or other disaster. Few stores will stay open if customers are in danger to enter, and their employees need to get home to their families.

The locks came with the doors and no one knew it was gonna be a 24/7 shop initially..

LOL I always wondered about that myself. I worked for a 24/7 casino and guess what *they* had??? Eventually they stopped putting locks on the doors in the newer additions.

Cuz these 24/7 stores are prime targets for armed robberies in the wee morning hours 1am to 6am.

So they can be closed when Daylight Savings time hits. If they stayed open, it would be 25/7 for that one day.

LOL. I've actually seen one of those with a "CLOSED" sign. It wasn't in position, hanging from a locked door, but it was available.

In case of an emergency. Hurricane, Eartquake or any other such natural extreme. However if you want to think of it that way, why do they have doors at all?
