Have any of you ever went to a foot washing service? Or had teaching on this? I am doing a study and believe that ministering to the body of Christ is to be humble to them. I went to a church that incorporated this along with communion. Are there any churches still participating in this today?

I am studying the last supper, and when god would tell you to take of your sandals, for you are on holy ground. Each times it was to be in the prensence of God, for new revalation, and ministry.

Any comments?

the place where im staying at now .. my bf says that someone has died here. and it kinda explains all the wierd stuff that has happened from what ive seen. like one night the light has turned on right behinde me about 11 something at night and it was just me and my daughter and which she was sleeping and i was on the computer. also when kno one would be on the computer then computer is set to turn off for the screen saver... but then sometimes.. the computer would turn on it selfs and its wierd cause in order to turn the computer back on you have to shake the mouse and no one or nothing is around to give it a shake. and then last night around 4 to 5 in the morning i woke up and saw the computer screen on.. lately it has been real hard for me to sleep at night cause all i do is think about someone watching me sleep. also lately my daughter has been jumping in bed with us and then all of a sudden last night i see the computer on. you might all think im frkn skitz but nah this real talk

Here's the story. I was talking about how badly black people are treated these days, and how members of my family have been lynched. I was talking to someone white. She said that I should "get over it. It happened like a hundred years ago!" I was shocked from her insensitive comment and didn't know how to approach it. I want to know, if you had some white people make monkey noises at your, or people follow you around in a store and not offer to wait on you, or say you are acting white just because you speak proper english within the last five years repeatedly, how are you able to get over racism? IT'S STILL GOING STRONG! I am sick of white people saying to stop living in the past! Why dont these people tell their relatives to stop living in the past and stop being racist?!

Laws are established to keep society from collapsing on itself correct? They are there to make sure the world can function and progress, that is their nature. So when you start making laws about things that have nothing to do with anything besides your personal beliefs, or anyone's personal beliefs, it starts to get arbitary. Sure it's not against our constitution or any laws, but can't you just see it's wrong? Don't you feel bad about making some one else less happy just so your views are secure and you feel warm and fuzzy inside? It's not a matter of legality for me, it's a matter of being a considerate compassionate human being. Why can't some people just have their own views and be happy, why do they have to make sure everyone else is subjected to their way of thinking (this goes for the overbearing atheists too)?

My point is, laws aren't there to make you happy, they're there to make sure you aren't raped, mugged, or murdered and we can progress as a society. Right?

What is your doctrine concerning the salvation of the ancient Israelites and other ancient civilizations predating Christianity? How will they be saved given that in their mortal lifetime they never could have relied on the saving grace of Christ's Atonement. Will those ancients be saved by the Law of Moses if they kept it? Even if they were faithful and kept the Law, could they keep it perfectly enough? And what about those other ancient civilizations in Africa and Asia and the Americas who never even had contact with ancient Israel, and who predated the earliest Christian missionaries by thousands of years? Do you believe God has made any provisions for their salvation?
