I would done my best to look upon the whole thing with love.
Jesus = God.
It's never been my truth that God can be hurt.
Some say Jesus died for our sins. But originally the word 'sin' was an archery term meaning 'to miss the mark.'
I think it's missing the mark to think Jesus suffered, or even that he wanted things to be other than they are.
I think the films made that show Jesus suffering on the cross are just attempts at drama.
Nothing real can be threatened.
Nothing unreal exists.
Herein lies the peace of God.

This is a very interesting question.
I like the answer of the sniper shot to put Him out of His misery.
He was offered drugs and refused them, so that's not a valid answer. No one could take Jesus' place because that person would only be dying for their own sin, so that's not a valid answer either. Both are considerate, but not valid.
The only thing that seems possible is the sniper shot.

Dear Overseas: My Love would wrap Him in golden light.
Within its miraculousness - He would transcend physical pain.
Joy Brigade is correct in that Jesus transcended the pain. And, I would add to his transcendence power with my own transcendence energy enfolding Him.

I would have given him some water. And taken him down from the cross - how barbaric is it to be nailed to a cross!

I would have you take Jesus' place on the cross because it is a cruel punishment and Jesus died for us this way--on purpose I might add--for all of mankind--including you!!!
