The government is NOT neutral towards religion

They keep trying to pass laws forcing Christians to accept what we consider abominable behavior such as homosewxual lifestyle.

You cannot force a person to believe something they know to be wrong

Also, the separation of Church was meant ONLY for the Government to stay out of the affairs of the church, not limits posting things like Ten Commandments, Prayer, etc,

Then our government officials got stupid

It's not possible. Whether you're for or against religion, it shapes you are and is a part of everything you do. You can't just leave it at home when you go into a public place. The rights of Christians are being violated just as much as non-believers'. We need more tolerance on both sides to be able to live together in this world peacefully.

Yes. religion should be in a designated religious building only and there should be signs on the building and whoever is in charge of whatever goes on inside the building should say "This is all only an idea none of it is true as there is no evidence to suggest it is" Apart from under those circumstances religion has no place in modern society. We simply don't need it anymore and we need to protect children who are susceptible to religion from it's old outdated false beliefs. Say no to jesus

How is teaching evolution (a scientificaly proven fact) bad? Don't you think the children have a right to know the truth and not just your lies?

The government is not neutral towards religion. Clearly, the U.S. Government's Congress shall make no law regarding the establishment of religion. That's not at all neutral. The stance is clearly in support of religious freedom.

I think we should let GWBush use his massive intelligence network to divine the TRUE God for us. That church should be the official church of the USA.

All other churches should be outlawed, and their followers added to the ranks of the axis of evil.

Church in the gov sanctioned religion is mandatory lest one be labeled a liberal heretic by Ann Colter and further demonized as a non American insurgent subject to treason charges.

Then we should just let GW have a vision from God that he should be president for life.

That is the ONLY way. Only when goverment is separated from religion can the people be free to practice their religion (or none) whaterver they may be. Beliefs are the personal business of each person they should not be promoted or slandered by the goverment.

In every country where religion rules, life has been unbearable for all it's people. Remember why we left England. Consider Iran, Iraq, Lebanon, Liberia, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, various Baltic states. Even if your government chooses your preferred religion you will soon regret it.

We need to keep religion on a personal level. That's it. Your religion doesn't affect my views, my views don't affect your religion, so keep your religion out of my life and vise versa. I don't care what anyone does as long as they don't impose their beliefs on others. And to the person who said it, evolution isn't bad unless you're a die hard Christian. No one else seems to have a hard time following the logical and evidence based train of thought.

Basically, yes, government should always be neutral.

a few short years ago Christianity was our native religion both US and Canada, Christians have been pushed out of schools and public forums, marginalized in every sense, but other religions are not experiencing that opposition from the govt. I think there should be equal treatment of all religions, if we cannot pray to God or bring Bibles to school, why did the BC govt install special washing stations in the school for muslims to observe there times of prayer, do you see the hypocrisy of the govt.
