I asked a service man and he advised that it means "Time of War. ... the talons are out". I am ex-service, ex-Viet Nam and I have never heard of such. I've looked at American Flag Display Etiquette and I have yet to see that it is OK to display the U.S. horizontally with the Stars to the Right.

Please fill me in! Much thanks!

I'm talking about the child molesters, bigots, money whores, murderers, liars, cheats, and hateful rotten scum that proclaim Christianity as their faith. People like this die everyday. Do they all go to Hell? Do they all go to Heaven? What do you think?

Is it just that they simply close their minds to alternatives? Or is there something more complex behind peoples' faith choices?

I'm not a religious person, but I come from a religious family who always likes to engage me in philosophical conversations. I've asked this question before, but all I got were dogmatic answers.

If you're religious, what is your faith and what keeps you tied to it despite all the alternatives out there?

To any religion out there: do you choose your religion based on how comfortable you are with it, because you were born with it, or because it just seems right? To those who have converted from one to another, were you scared to convert? To those who were born a certain way, are you not comfortable with opening your mind elsewhere, or do you think it's right because it's the only way you've seen things? Just a little curious.
