Well growing up in west Texas and now living in New Mexico I have picked up a lot of the Spanish language. Now I know it sounds silly but I also learned a lot from listening to Selena. I have a 2 disc CD album of hers and I love listening to it. The great thing about it is that it gives the words to the songs. One side is in Spanish and the other is in English. Thats the best I can offer.

Anything by Selena. She was one awesome artist and musician.
My fav spanish song is Como La Flor.
And if you want to learn, immersion. You are doing it by immersing yourself into books, CD's and songs...great start. But get yourself around a hispanic speaking neighborhood, or visit Mexico a few times. The more you get around what you want to learn, the more it will become a part of who you are. And when it comes to languages we want to learn, immersion is always best.

There are many songs you can use. Just locate the lyrics online and follow along. Look up words you don't know. I would work on understanding the chorus first, because it repeats. Some of my favorites: David Bisbal, Elvis Crespo, Marc Anthony, Chayanne, La India, Celia Cruz, Tito Nieves. Listen to the songs multiple times. Each time you listen, you will pick up more words.
