Oh but you haven't heard about Atlantis?!?!?

In the lore of the world, the technology that Atlantis had that was so advanced that caused it to be wiped from destruction was:

Energy!

That's right they had power. And what kind of power? Free power!

Imagine, not paying for your electricity.

Atlantis had a pyramid that was a source of the electricity. Then the citizens all had a ball on a pole (say in their backyard) that was their individual source of power. The power waves went through the air like radio waves.

Nicolae Tesla... invented the Tesla Coil, the x-ray , etc, basically everything ingenious in our modern society, believed in this theory and proved it, through experimentation.

Problem is nowadays, there's no way you can do it.

1) there's power companies
2) the energy waves would interfere with our television, and radio, and cell phone waves. And it all wouldn't work.

But this is why the Egyptians created Pyramids with GOLD capstones. As an homage to the glowing top of the Pyramids of Atlantis which the Egyptians never had the technology to recreate. The Egyptians where supposedly Atlanteans who left the island, presumably before the destruction. And this is supposedly why the Egyptian culture just popped out of the desert from nowhere, but really quite advanced!

Well it would depend.... One coudl find it but what if people are not ready for that kind technology... Yes it might benefit just like Tesla alternating current did, but he is not a reconized scientist. It all depnds on how society is when you find it, and if Atlantis is ready to be discovered by the outside world.

I think that if you find Atlantis, you could use their technology to improve the world.

But then again, if you find Atlantis, you will completely ruin their culture, and it will be overrun by fat and greedy tourists.

Now that I've answered this question, I realized that there is no point in finding Atlantis.

yes they were said to have large amounts of hi tech technology along with an awesome set up of government along with the arcitecture and new land plus history books, one you would be famous, two today's civilizations could find an alternate energy source and have better governments but then again if you really did find atlantis there would be probalbly very litttle ture based on all the myths so it might not help.

If you were to find Atlantis, which I highly doubt because it is nothing but a tale of folklore and is in the eyes of many fictitious, you would definitely benefit out society today. I have ing studied mythology myself, it is told that the so-called "Atlantians" were a highly advanced culture, far above their time.

You would be able to see what went wrong, so we could learn from past experiences.

To find Atlantis you would have to travel to a different dimension, not a easy task for humans.

No. It does not exist on a physical dimension, and it's like saying if you kill 12 people and get to see God (in that maybe you would see him as you were being punished for it) would it do future civilizations good to come back and exist among them because however you got to see God, you still got to see him and maybe they'll benefit from your having been that close to him. Or actually it's like saying . . .well maybe I guess it depends on how you find it. Even if you found it benevolently probably no one would believe you found it they would say you were crazy unless you wrote about it, as fiction

I think there would be emense benifits as the Mythical Atlantean were directly decended from the gods. i don't think you would be able to find it though, as you would have to leave earth to do so. i don't think it was ever here (except when it snuck through the bermuda triangle opening)
