Do you see them as pets for women?
I prefer a cat over a dog.
cats are more independent and require less care. What do you think?

I see cats everytime I close my eyes. Maybe that's because their litterbox is the only thing I can smell. Cats are not a pet for women, although they are best suited for people missing noses, or with severe nasal blockage.

Not just for women--and you have some good answers. I read before I post. Some guys like cats, some like dogs. Same with women. I have 3 cats and a doberman. All are awesome in their own ways. Each cat has a different personality, and the dog is....well she just is.

Well, I love cats. Some days, I think I'll be the crazy old lady with 200 cats! My husband likes them too, but not as much as he likes dogs. My son loves cats and will probably grow up to have at least a few. Don't let other people's perception of what is cool dictate what kind of animal you have. And go to the pound to get your kitty. There are wonderful animals there who love to love you!

I don't see them as pets for women. I know plenty of men that are single (and not gay) and have cats. Cats do require a lot less maintenance. Not to say I don't love dogs too...

I'm a dog person, but I love all animals.
Cats are uniquely in their own class. They're very intelligent animals, but will turn on you in a minute. They are stalkers by design. They study and decipher the situation.
Kittens on the other hand, are so fun to watch as they frolic around. But the minute you pull them away from something they're not supposed to do, they go RIGHT back at it and do it again...10 times.
So yes, I guess they are kind of like women. lol!

I'm a HUGE cat person, I love them! I love how they're unique and actually have their own personalities ... I'd prefer a cat over a dog any day

Cats are great pets for any gender. My husband and I are owned by one feline...we like to make him think he owns us...but shhhhh...we all know the truth right? ;) hehe Anyhow, he fancies both of us; and my husband absolutely loves him to pieces. So from my experience, they are a multi-gender pet; great for anyone who wants a companion...but not one who is too awfully demanding.

Well, I generally see cats with my eyes. ;) I prefer cats for several reasons, the main one being that they don't smell as bad as dogs. You gotta admit, the smell of wet dog reeks!
