Did the bigger kids in 5th grade tell you this? Oh man, you're screwed when you find out they only let you hang with them because you're stooooopid.
If there was ever a religion that did NOT practice idolatry, its Islam. Just take a look at their art and architecture and you'll see no images of man or animal. How's that for not having any graven images before god?
That cross you pray in front of, whether there's a Christ figure or not hanging from it...guess what?...an idol by the strictest definition of the word.
I'm agnostic. I don't care who you kneel in front of (smirk), but as a someone who appreciates history and the arts please get your facts right, fool.

You really are an idiot if that's what you think.
Allah is the same spiritual entity as your little Christian God. The Quran mentions Jesus, Mary, and EVEN Mary Magedaline... however, she is represented as Jesus' confidant and friend, which I tend to believe more than the ridiculous Christian "harlot" story of her. The other big difference is that they don't believe Jesus to be the Son of God.
They pray to Mecca, which they believe is the holiest of places, the Kabaa I believe it's called, said to be the House of Allah.
AND MUSLIMS AREN'T PAGAN. Geez. You idiot Christians actually think that every religion but yours is Pagan... Paganism is not devil worship or idolitry like moronic blind christians are brought up to believe. Paganism is nature worship. It is the study and belief in the natural, the Mother Earth. Personally, I think that is the only pure religion. Not a belief in some intangible God, and they certainly don't believe their beleifs are the one and only way. Paganism is not some controlling and ridiculously dogmatic religion used to explain away the unknown. Paganism is a respect and love for Earth. Maybe if the world had a few more of them, and they weren't all burned as heretics in the inquistion and other such ridiculous CHRISTIAN genocides, the Earth would be a bit better.
You have no idea what you are talking about, and you have made me incensed at your presumption of your own righteousness.

first of all you are beyond ignorant. The rock in mecca is called the Kaaba which was built by Prophets Adam, Ibrahim and Muhammad ASW. secondly, muslims do not believe in idols because Pr. Ibrahim AS destroyed them when the ignorant people of his time worshipped them, this law was passed down to all the following Prophets until all the idols were removed from the Kaaba. Finally, the Kaaba is a symbol of "GOD'S House" not God himself. so go read some more on this because you sound like a complete idiot. Also we all worship GOD(some people decide to give him associates to HIS Position) but for some warped reason everyone has a different name for HIM but in the end we all worship ONE and HE is the same one. Because there can only be one. So muslims aren't the ones worshipping other GODS its the people who have associates to GOD that are worshipping other GODS.

Well, it's true that Allah has His origins in a Sumerian moon god, Nanna-Suen. So what? The Christian god is comprised of a couple of Sumerian deities as well. Enlil, Enki, and Anu were originally responsible for the acts in the old testament. Anu created the world, Enki was responsible for most of what happened in the garden of Eden, and Enlil flooded the world. Enki saved a righteous family once He did that. The book of Job is based on Canaanite mythology. I could go on.
Now you may think I am insulting Christianity, here, but that's not it at all. People learn from eachother, and religions change and adapt over time. It's just the way of things. It's not good or bad, it just is. So why try to insult people for it?
Anyone who doubts what I'm saying about the Sumerian gods, by the way, would do well to check out Sumerian mythology. It's all startlingly familiar. Samuel Noah Kramer's books are a good place to start.

If Muslims worship the Ka'aba (as the black cube is known), then which Muslim stands on top of the idol he worships? At the time of the conquest of Makkah, Prophet Muhammed ordered Bilal to climb atop the Ka'aba and deliver the call for prayers.
The Ka'aba is a Qiblah, direction, towards which Muslims all over the world face. They do not worship it. They worship one God, the Creator of all mankind
And to some other idiots here who quoted the Bible saying Muslims deny the Christ, Islam is the only non-Chrsitian religion that makes it an article of faith to beleive in Jesus as the Chist and bestows upon mother Mary the title of the most honored woman in all of history.
May Allah guide you brother.
And stop embarassing your Christian brothers with public displays of bigotry.

So? What's wrong with being pagan? It used to just mean someone who didn't live in the city. Now it means those who aren't Christian or Jewish. Big whoop. Why don't you fight global warming or overpopulation instead of this non-issue?
Also, when you use an all-inclusive "we" make sure you are talking to a group of people just like you. I know for a fact there are lots of pagans on this forum. And lots of Muslims. Play nice with others or someone will ask you to leave the sandbox.

Do you even know the purport of the Holy K'a'abah? Or are you just spouting hatred?
Tell you what. Do a little light reading, then get back to me for some SERIOUS conversation.
By the way, what is pagan? To worship the God of Abraham(SAW) at a location, or to worship 3 Gods and deify the Prophet of the God of Abraham (SAW)?
P.S - Why don't you drop the pretext, and say you hate Muslims because your religion that is supposed to preach love, tolerance and peace obviously is not working for you

As a Pagan I find that highly offensive. No Pagan would claim their God to be the only one, it is fundamental to our worldview that there are many paths to follow, and that each person must find their own. Furthermore Pagans do not worship idols. You are clearly a bigot who knows nothing about Muslims or Pagans.

Allah was a tribal god of the Bedouins. Yahweh was a Caananite tribal god. Islam and Judaism both have pagan roots.
All religions do. Every single one of them.
But Islam, like Judaism, has evolved into a Monotheistic religion. Both retained the names of their tribal gods as the name of their Monotheistic god. Being Monotheistic, both faiths tend to agree that it is the same God. (If they both only believe in one..it must be the same one.)
So saying that Muslims are Pagans is just ridiculous. They have Pagan roots...but guess what Sparky...so do you.

if u would have done a little reading then u wouldnt have made a fool out of u today.
the idol u are speaking about is Kaabah, the House of God, becoz it was the first mosque in Human history that was built by Adam and his Son Abel-pbut. then many yearslater, Allah gave command to Abraham-pbuh that he repair the damges that were caused to Kaabah. and so Abraham and his son, Ishmael -pbutrecontrcuted it.
the stone was initially white in colour, but it turned dark every year with the increase in the no:of sins and evils in the world.
and u say we worship Kaabah? do u know that there was a time when Muhammed-pbuh and Hazrath bilal-r.a and many muslims have given Adhan(call for prayer) by standing on top of Kaabah. imagine the followers of an idol stand up on the idol to give prayers. so next time do ur homework.
muslims are not pagans. we dont bow down to idols, stars, moon, sun, animals and humans. our heads will bow down only to ONE GOD. Allah when translated from arabic to english means SUPREME BEING.
Al-Ikhlas | 4 verses | Absoluteness سورة الإخلاص
Sura #112 | Makkah
1 Say: He is Allah, the One!
2 Allah, the eternally Besought of all!
3 He begetteth not nor was begotten.
4 And there is none comparable unto Him.
and we have a clear concept of who God is, a clear definition for God.
Al-Fatiha | 7 verses | The Opening سورة الفاتحة
Sura #1 | Makkah
1 In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful.
2 Praise be to Allah, Lord of the Worlds,
3 The Beneficent, the Merciful.
4 Master of the Day of Judgment,
5 Thee (alone) we worship; Thee (alone) we ask for help.
6 Show us the straight path,
7 The path of those whom Thou hast favoured; Not the (path) of those who earn Thine anger nor of those who go astray.
