In Scotland this week it has all been going crazy between the two sets of Christians over one of the Glasgow footballers geniflecting at a football game: he has been banned from doing it because it is offensive to protestants....given the amount of general hatred between Christians and muslims as well as Gnostics Vs Agnostics how do people have time to hate amongst their own religons too?!

Recently someone decided that it would be fun to poke mockery (on Yahoo Answers) of the death of our son, Zachary that we tragically lost on Aug. 2, 2006 (second trimester loss), to see the post go here http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;...

I thought it would be important to post what to say to someone who has endured the pain of a miscarriage..

Things you should say
Do call her and tell her you are sorry for her loss.
Do send her a card or flowers to show you care
Do let her talk as much as she needs to or wants to.
Do give her a hug to let her know you care.
Do offer to help with housework, babysitting or other things that she may not feel up to doing.
Do acknowledge her baby.
It is okay to say I don’t know what to say or I don’t know how to help.
Do call and check up on her. The pain does not go away in a couple days.

So with that posted what else do you think would be appropiate?

My first language is Japanese.

Id like to hear your opinion about British-English and American English.

Recently Im interested in this kind of things.

For example, In case you have no ability of speaking Chinese.
American pple say, I don't speak Chinese. On the other hand,
British pple say, I can't speak English.

What do you think of both English?

I love coming on here and asking stupid, provocative questions. Then waitng for the "holier than though" to flow in. I laugh at how self righteous and defensive some of the responses are. Some scared wierd people out there. (lot's of Americans I think!)

In college I knew some Muslim students. We were studying very hard, so we did not have much time to talk, but what I did understand was that family is very important to them and that as children Muslims are treated very well. Not that they are not always treated well, but one student told me that his parents were really good to him and that this is very common. As to wifes I am getting conflicting messages on one hand I hear of domestic violence and one another had I hear women are regraded very well. In regular life I have seen domestic violence in all cultures. What is the tradional view on family life acording to the Muslim religion. I grew up Catholic and the impression I got was that mothers play a very important role in a family and are very special. I know this may be a more Americanize in modern times because things have been so different in the church in the past and in America.

Can you educate me on families and spouse relationships in the Muslim world?

In my wesite address bar this says ths is a uk website. However there seem to be more americans on here than UK people, no problem with that except that a lot of the American replies seem to have some reference to hell, sinners god or jesus or are writen by homophobic racist bigots. Why is this? Are there any UK religious fundamentalist BNP members on here who actually agree with any of the jesus love stuff?
