In my wesite address bar this says ths is a uk website. However there seem to be more americans on here than UK people, no problem with that except that a lot of the American replies seem to have some reference to hell, sinners god or jesus or are writen by homophobic racist bigots. Why is this? Are there any UK religious fundamentalist BNP members on here who actually agree with any of the jesus love stuff?
Could all repliers answer my questions and tell me what country they are from please.

Paul, you area prime example. Thank you for your post.
I must say though, I am not a peodophile homo (as most homosexuals are not) nor am I a Jesus hater. I respect all religions, what ever floats your boat, but I dont like having a bible rammed down my throat every time I open a question page up.

I've come to the conclusion that a lot of Americans think they understand all people of the world and are happy to generalise and shout their opinions even if they have no knowledge or experience of other cultures. Many seem to believe all the propaganda that they are fed on whatever subject and, therefore, become 'instant' experts. I am a Christian but I believe that my faith is between God and me so you won't hear me lambasting anyone.
I'm UK born and bred and very proud of being English - I am tolerant of every faith, culture and race.

I'm a British atheist, and I agree with your point. However, as far as I know Christianity (and Islam) is both based on kindness, charity and forgiveness - so I don't think it's fair on the religions to label the ignorant, racist, misogynic, homophobic and hateful "followers" as being truly christian.
The religion has been used by those in power to exercise their powers over the proletariat - and it's these new religious leaders that have used christianity as an excuse to hate/kill the people they don't like.
America is the world's richest economy but the money isn't fairly distributed, leaving many people poor, uneducated and in need of an emotional crutch (which religion fulfills - and also provides scapegoats to blame for all their problems (homosexuals, women, other religions)). & 85% of Americans don't have a passport, and so don't get the option of meeting non-Americans (those that travel tend to be among the nicest people you'll ever meet, those you see in the Mid-West are amongst the most hateful, uneducated, fundamentalists you're likely to ever have to meet)
Paul J says you stereotype too much, and then says that most homosexuals are paedophiles - can you please provide your source ? He's also not a bigot, but he hates homosexuals - is your dictionary missing the B section ??

I'm from the UK. I'm not racist or Homophobic, and im not a fundamentalist BNP member, but I am a Christian. I know that some people are very forceful with their answers, but they have evrey right to be, as it is a website that allows people to voice their opinion. Just coz some people dont like it, doesnt mean that they cant say it. Oh and by the way I dont usually post forceful replies. I just see where people who do are coming from.

Well I'm in the UK and a regular churchgoer. but I'm not a BNP member and not mny would describe me as a fundamentalist.
American Companies like Yahoo generally think they can create a UK website by changing the spelling here and there. Sometimes the American shows through.

You stereo type too much.....
Hope you find someone in the UK who believes exactly as you do.
P.S. Religion IS more acceptable in the US than in the UK.
I do not like Homo's cause most are pedophiles, I do believe in that Jesus love stuff but I am not a racist or a bigot (refer to opening sentence).
So if your a Jesus hating Homo Pedophile, I would recommend that you stay on that side of the pond......

Some xtians seem to love the old testament blood and thunder guff and reject the new testament love thy neighbour platitudes. You pays your money, you makes your choice I suppose. Neither are appealing really. On the one hand you've got a bullying deity so insecure of their divinity they're compelled to issue threats, and on the other you've got a fey, lily-livered wuss prattling on about loving your enemies. Thank goodness all of it is just a comfort blanket for the confused and insecure.
Jesus hates me, by the way. I denied the works of the holy spirit during my confirmation lessons, thus committing the only unforgivable sin. Quite a comfort, really.
As to why Yanks are more vocal on here, it's probably something to do with the total lack of self doubt many of them display, so they're less reserved about making ar/ses of themselves

Yahoo is an American company. I think people from the US are just more open to voice their opinions, since it's an important freedom for them.
I'm sure you'll find idiots in every country.
I'm from USA, fyi.
Oh yeah and ummm Jesus loves you, you poor sinner

I'm British. I'm also a Christian. I'm not a bigot or racist or a member of BNP! Most of my answers on here so far wouldn't require me to refer to my faith, but if the question called for it (like this one) then I would certainly mention it.
And yeah, Jesus does love ya ;)
