atheisim in it self is a religion, a religion with no god, or higher power... i undersand most of the questions, but when people start stating that woman are subservient to men and thats what god wants i get a bit ticked off or when someone says im going to hell because i will give what little i have to my childern, and not to the poor, because i am poor

banter is not the same as sincerely posting a comment to someones question. there are times when tasteful tongue in cheek is okay, however often the comments get downright crude and/or cruel.
in the bible we're told to lay aside all malice and evil speakings and in Ephesians to be kind and tender to non believers.
me, if it's someone that is asking a vile question, i report them and then don't bother posting any type of answer. i don't understand why people even bother answering - it is just feeding fuel to the fire. oh then you get those that post their "religious agenda" whenever the "think" it will fit even by a smidge. it's never short but longer than a page and turns people off from bothering with your question.
hang in there!

Athiests even start religious banter here but this section deals with religion and spirituality so I guess religion applies.
When it comes to religion and christianity it seems very apparant that every person and church and denomination has their own opinion about it but very few have the God's word the bible's opinion and what it's views hold. Thing is there is so much falsehoods going about even the athiests get wrapped up in them that the light of truth very seldomly shines through.
But this is Satan's world. 2 Corinthians 4:4 says it all.

You may be religious But I question your commitment to Christianity. Christ is the Door to Heaven.
John 10:1 - Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that entereth not by the door into the sheepfold, but climbeth up some other way, the same is a thief and a robber.
John 10:2 - But he that entereth in by the door is the shepherd of the sheep.
John 10:7 - Then said Jesus unto them again, Verily, verily, I say unto you, I am the door of the sheep.
John 10:9 - I am the door: by me if any man enter in, he shall be saved, and shall go in and out, and find pasture.

You are right but I always have to answer them because of all the horrible things that happened to me within the Catholic church and in catholic school Christan's should NOT get away with all the **** they put on here. I never post religious questions just have to tell it like it is when these morons put the questions up.

Freedom of speech. As long as it doesn't violate the community guidelines, people can put it here. You have the right to read or not read it. Besides, religion should be strong enough to withstand criticism and challenge. It's pretty flimsy otherwise, wouldn't you say?

YES.
Join us, we are the religious banter savers. Salvation for all who despise religious banter, eternal damnation for all those who banter religiously. Quickly, we must spread the sacred word on the evils of religious banter, to save the souls of those who commit this sin known as bantering. We must use all mediums available to us, including but not limited to: compilation CD's, commercials, door to door walking, accosting people on random street corners, passing out leaflets, mass emails, and even copy/paste posting on free websites.
We must... wait., our mission statement is what?
Dammit! I really shoulda paid more attention in entrepreneur class...

unfortunately, hate mongering IS taught in religions... the religions, "of the book", especially, it seems (though my knowledge is not infinite). genocide was big with the god of the old testament.
