Why get so het up about it all, it seems that in being on this board at all, you must be at least a bit interested.
I have defended your stance many times on these boards, against the born again Christians and respect your belief, for you are entitled to it, yet this has puzzled me for awhile now.

Tom promised Becky that if he was able to finish medical school, then he'd marry her. Tom ended up dropping out of medical school, but he married Becky anyway. Did Tom keep his promise?

i'm not against helping people. i don't think they should ever have cash given to them. housing, food, transportation and some entertainment...but not money. many of these people are able to work, but choose to not work. others do not have the capacity to spend it wisely, so it is never enough.

wow, i could not do that, i would do eveerything to help my child. why dont you people have your own blood stored then?
just dont get it. my childs life means everything and if god really wanted them then he would not of made it so easy to help them. or give man the power to learn and make progress to help eachother.

I know in their eyes they are the same, both myths, but that is a ridiculous argument, come on....actually there are many historical documents that describe the tooth fairy and many cultures have some form of belief in a magical fairy that exchanges coins for unwanted teeth...people worship her all over the world.

Oh that's right, none of that is true. All the religious books, beliefs and thousand year old traditions of numerous cultures give more credibility to God or some form of higher power, especially when compared to some fairy parents made up to make their kids happy about losing teeth...so do you Athiests think you are "unconverting" anyone by constantly comparing God to the freaking tooth fairy? Can't come up with a reasonable, intelligent defense for your beliefs except to associate God with some irrevelant, obvious myth? God isn't that easy to disregard, the tooth fairy is, you can't compare the two.

I just moved from a house to an apartment, and love being a little more maintenance free in my home. But one thing I can't get out of the habit of doing is recycling. My apartment complex doesn't give me that option to recycle, and its bugging me, I feel the need to do it, but I don't want to have to drive to the recycle area in another town. I've had many people tell me to live by the bible and I wil be saved. Interesting concept, only if they themselves would do it. Honestly most of those who are religious and say they live their life by the bible really don't, from what i've notice. If you compare their lives to the bible, you'll find out that they pick and choose which parts they wanna follow and which parts they wanna ignore. It seems that they make the bible fit their lifestyle and not make their lifestyle fit the bible.

To think passing a law will stop abortion is incredibly naive,

i am a very open minded person, i do not think that abortion should be illegal. it is a choice that should be made between the person's involved, no one else. i have seen the old footage of dead women lying on the bathroom floor after trying to do it with a coat hanger. do people really want to go back to that?
don't get me wrong, Kayla Brandt has every right to feel this way. but what right does she have to tell us what we can and cannot do? if she see's it as a major sin, that's fine. what about the rest of us who don't believe what she does?
