I am going away next year to collage and don't know how to make new friends...

be friendly, smile and take an interest in other people. and don't be afraid to show people who you are. because if you do and they love it, you'll know its for real. invite people into your world and oblige any invites into theirs as long as it is safe, legal, and not detrimental to your health/well being.you never go wrong with seeking people out with common interests. even if you are shy introduce yourself to people with a smile, ask names if you want. compliments are a good ice breaker (genuine ones) and more than anything believe you are someone people will want to know.it is the truth after all, everyone has something to offer:)
