Isn't it better that u DO research urself from Authentic Islamic Sites & Books, instead of believing others hearsay (especially those who are against Islam). I believe it will clear all ur misconceptions, if u just take time to research abt Islam and Its Teachings with an open mind, rather than having a close opinion abt Islam from hearsay.

I have nothing against gay people, I just don't get the lisp. Are there any gay men out there who speak with a lisp that will answer this? It seems to be somehting that gay men pick up by choice. Is it so they can identify themselves as being homosexual, or is it something else that causes it?

okay, I'm trying to fully understand forgiveness and so I'm asking all sorts of questions and I learn by hearing other viewpoints.

Why is it that we have such a hard time forgiving ourselves? I think we can be harder on ourselves than on other people. And a lot of times we do stupid things but can't stop kicking ourselves for our past mistakes.

Have you ever done something so stupid you had a hard time forgiving yourself? Have you ever gotten to the point of being able to forgive yourself? If so, how did you finally forgive yourself?

IVe been going there for a while, and I kind of like it. Its near where Iive and everything. I like the music and all and its pretty small. But the only thing i dont like and I cant stand it is their rules/laws-for example, they say that we shouldnt have or watch tv/televsion, we shouldnt go to the movies, we shouldnt wear shorts, and women shouldnt wear pants or use make up or cut their hair or use jelwrey. And they say we shouldnt listen to non christian music. So what do you all think? What should i do?????

Is it ignorance*? Are they used to just not looking for the truth so they make assumptions? Here are some things i've heard believers say about athiests (atheism) that are just 100% false:

• Athiests don't believe in anything

• why not ask your atheist leader to write an atheist holy book

• Atheists are controlled by satan

• Atheists are just angry at god

• Atheism is a religion

• Atheists are unhappy/hateful/angry

• Darwin is the god of atheism

• Evolution is the religion of atheism (or that we "believe in" evolution rather than "accepting" it. As if you need faith to agree with evolutionary theory.)

What are your thoughts? and if i've missed any silly/false statements on atheism that you have seen please add them.

*Please note that the word "ignorance" used here is not any sort of ad homonym. It's simply a hypothosis that most religious people tend to make assumptions and/or take things at face value... Ignorance by definition, not slander.
