Why is it ppl lecture abt Islam, when they Don't Have a Clue regarding actual teachings of Islam?

Isn't it better that u DO research urself from Authentic Islamic Sites & Books, instead of believing others hearsay (especially those who are against Islam). I believe it will clear all ur misconceptions, if u just take time to research abt Islam and Its Teachings with an open mind, rather than having a close opinion abt Islam from hearsay.
I m interested in serious comments.

well i agree with Mr. Mister ........... he is right that majority of the Muslims are just followers and they believe what their clerics tell them. But The Holy Quran, tells us to research ourselves abt The Truth. So, its a problem with the followers (Muslims) NOT The Religion (Islam).
That's why i welcome even Muslim with Non-Muslims to Read The Holy Quran with understanding and research abt The Truth, rather than forming a view through others.
Everyone Should be able to Research for themselves, as GOD (ALLAH) gave all of us equal minds to think with, its a matter of who use it and who doesn't.

If anyone has any reference to where he got the idea that "a suicide bomber will get 72 virgins in Heaven", plz do Tell me, 'coz i haven't encountered any such Saying and its most probably a wide spread misconception. u have to have proof to back up with ur comments.

I do agree with you. some people close their mind,eyes & heart to the truth. they only go through life blind. blind guides leading the blind. they try to pass their beliefs or opinions without finding facts.
it always helps to see both sides of the issue. no one ever mentions how actions of Israel effects some of Islam. it takes 2 to war against each other. and as they war,they take on supporters ( USA supporting Israel) and then there develops the anatrosities or unjust feelings.
in the end ------ it is in God's hand's. and there has always been misconceptions about God. but, He WILL prevail.

I don't have problems with any religions, as long as people don't tell me how horrible I am and how I should be saved.
I am Catholic, and sometimes people treat us like we have the plague or something. They treat us like we are some kind of alien race.
I haven't researched the Muslim relgion, but what I do know. I believe that Muslims are a peace going people. Then you get in the different areas of it.

In all relgions you get someone who is not exactly with the beliefs and they do not much nice things. Then we all get judged by those few bad apples.

I do try and have an open mind...

I agree wholeheartedly. People and not only with Islam, judge without knowledge. I have read the Bible and the Koran. Neither is for me but ya know what, I respect what others believe. I am Wiccan and although my beliefs don't coincide with conventional religions....... I respect them,,, because I want people to respect my beliefs too.
Islam is a peace loving religion and I know some Christians are going to talk about the terrorist attacks and try to denounce it BUT they also need to know that HERE, in the US.... the Oklahoma City bombing was done by an American Baptist.
There's good and bad in every religion...... but we still need to respect others beliefs.

Why do I inform people about Islam?

Actually, I'm informing Muslims about they're won teachings. why?

YOUR own clerics and Islamic scholars says 90% of Muslims don't understand they're own Book of Quran. The Peaceful Muslims are "Apostate" in they're own teachings.

Now. YOUR scholars..YOUR clerics said this. not mine.

I have held no lectures. you and I could set up a time a place. We can see if each other can play in the same sandbox without splashing.

Well, they probably know more than you. One "ALWAYS" reads the critics to help keep the deceivers honest.
Read this book- "Islam Revealed" by Dr. Annis Shorrosh, a Palestinian who left Mohammedanism and now lectures all over the world about the great prophet Mohammad and his false religion.

Take your pompous ravings and your Koran and go to a real Muslim country where they live in filth and squalor and ignorance then tell me how you love Allah. Do not presume to lecture to me or anyone else about how "wonderful" Islam is, when we see it every day. I will keep my own belief, thank you, and will be glad of the day when I don't have to wake up and fear that some Jihadist suicide martyr will blow me up in the name of Allah.

Its always better to research and find the facts ourselves. Some intellectuals always try to so much more than what they know. We can judge whether to believe them or not. It is just true with this too.

it pisses me off when people do this. especially when they say things that are totally untrue such as, "Muslims have to kill everybody who doesn't agree with them" and "Islam is a demonic religion." It's no different from christianity.
