I've never gotten drunk (still too young), so this question might seem foolish, but: Why do people put lamp shades on their head when they're drunk?

I never put a lamp shade on my head while I was drunk, but I have done it sober. It just a fun thing to do and to see how looks the stupidest with the shade on.
