Because they want to get funky, funky. Ah, yeah. Anyway, I think this is one of the most insightful questions I've seen tonight other than my own. Thank you.

Ive never seen a black person do that. Stop stereotyping! You wouldn't like it if I asked why do some white people wear long sleeve shirts with shorts and sandals in 30 degree weather?

don't be racist...the only time a certain "race" wears something in particular is because of a religious or cultural thing...like shawls, veils, head coverings, etc...NOT sweatpants and sweatshirts...what about gothic people? they wear pants, long sleeve shirts, and multiple layers that are all black? thats not exactly an outfit that will keep you cool, so why don't you include them in your comment? or the white people that do it, the hispanic people that do it, the irish people who do it, etc etc...

...next time, think before you say something stupid!!! no one likes people who generalize like that or racists

Um, they don't wear I live. It's like HOT here from May to October. The question is racist in my opinion, and I'm white. So, here's a question from a white person about white young men: why do you wear winter hats in 100 degree weather??? Is it "cool"? (pun intended)

Making racist generalizations is just plain ignorant. I read your other questions and would not have expected you to ask such a question. Just because your hidden behind your computer screen, GOD sees all!! Don't be so quick to judge and so willing to hurt others feelings just to get a rise out of others. Some people answered your question with racist remarks about whites. How did that make you feel?

Let's do away with the PC for a moment: they're BLACKS, born in America. Now we got that put aside:

Blacks, especially males, are highly tuned to physical fitness and athletics--much in respect to those who worked their way out of the urban projects and into wealthy sports super-stardom.

They are very conscious of the "strongest survive-the weak die" mindset too, so it's best to keep in the best shape possible.

I suppose they are comfortable in them while I'm out there in the heat wiping sweat. It's not at all important as long as they are dressed in a non-vulgar way. I'm too hot to wear sweatshirts most of the time in the winter.

Okay... so why do people (I guess... to answer YOUR question, "white people") wear miniskirts with UGG botts in the winter and/or summer and LEG WARMERS and leggings under miniskirts during winter and/or summer?.... People have their own styles, which may not coincide with your idea of fashion. So stop judging and just deal with it.
