Does anybody think that the possibility of an Arab-recognized Jewish state living peacefully and amicably side-by-side with a Palestinian state a lost cause or do you think there is still hope?

Xenus spaceships turned out to be old Soviet knock-offs and I dont really feal comfortable zooming around the universe in those things.

So Ive decided to convert to Pastafarianism. Ive read up on the religion and it seems to hold a lot of water. They have even corrolated the decline of Pirates to Global Warming!!!!!

Did you know that we have 75% of our DNA in common with Apes, but we have 99.99999% of our DNA in common with Pirates?

The FSM, (meatballs be upon Him) is the one and only TRUE god.

What excuse do you have for NOT becoming a Pastafarian?

If all you can do is bash christianity why are you answering the questions here? Why come here and tell people what you think they should or should not do? Heres a thought...Since your not a christin and arent educated in the subject matter why not go spread your hate somewhere else....mabe a topic other than christianity would be best for you. Ive read your posts and answers to others Qs. And all Ive seen is how you like to degrade and put other people down. Get Saved and Get a life! Oh and if you cant properly answer this question without being snotty, then dont. Try spreading more Love and youll get more friends!

If your not part of the soulution then you are part of the problem!

a form of insanity? If you put you hand in a fire and it hurts, and five minutes later, you put your hand back into the fire,(without changing the circumstances of the initial insertion) wouldn't you expect to be burned? Then why repeat it?

If we turn all of our "Thous" into "it's" it becomes easier to destroy, profane, and desregard them. No one thinks twice about destroying an "it" but we tend to reconsider doing so to a "Thou."
Can you grasp my thought and if so what are your feelings. What are your "Thous"?

I saw a documentary on liars last night: how 3-year-olds learn to lie, how people lie better as they get smarter, that, under scans, brains do not lie even if we try to conceal something, etc.

That got me thinking that, perhaps, being 100% honest all the time is a fabricated illusion. The point is that there are inconsequential lies (i.e., someone asks you how your day was and you say "Fine" when in fact you had a lousy day but won't go into details) and significant lies (i.e., if you cheated on your SAT exam and get a good score, something undeserved).

We all lie in one way or another, in big and small ways. I think the definition of an honest person (man, woman, child) is the one who lies the least. What do you think?

Have you ever noticed how many people are ready to make rediculous ("uneducated") statements about how much pain and suffering Christianity has caused, and yet never stop to think about all of the wonderful things that are done on a daily basis in the name of Christianity, how many Christian charities there are, how many Christian hospitals there are, how many Christian missionaries there are around the world feeding the poor and giving free medical services, effecting millions of people's lives in a positive way daily? Those of you who think Christianity is so terrible have never truly been involved in the real thing!

I'm indebted to another answerer for inspiring this question. When answering a question about whether or not we're living in the End Times, this answerer mentioned that no-one...not even the angels...knew when Jesus was due to return.
Does that mean he's gonna wake up one morning, write "End of The World" on his To Do list, and take everybody by surprise?
Can you imagine the chaos in Heaven, and Hell, come to that.
Angel of the Waters, where are you? Well get back from Hawaii pronto, this is It. Where are the Horsemen of the Apocalypse? what do you mean Death's traded the horse in for a Harley? How's that gonna look on the post-Rapture DVD?
My real question I guess is this: is anyone just a little disconcerted that what we're dealing with here is someone so inconsiderate that he's just gonna drop in unannounced with all his friends one day, without giving us the chance to pick the place up a little or get some snacks in? And he's supposed to be the saviour of the world??

I've rejected the Bible for YEARS. None of it makes sense to me, none of it seems real. One of the turning points for me was when I read Pauls first letter to Timothy and saw the attitude toward women, which simply made me angry at God. He made me intelligent and strong and creative and then told me I had no right to teach a man? I had pretty much let it go - moved on in my spiritual life - but in the news today they quoted Timothy 1 and I was surprised that it still hurt... somehow those words still have God behind them to me. Any tips from ex-Christians or understanding Christians who won't preach to me?

My Mom doesn't really speak english much, so when she buys me shirts she doesnt necessarily read what they say or try to understand that. So a few days ago she bought me this white shirt with the words "Camp Weequahic" written on the top left side of its front. I ask you, what is Camp Weequahic? I should know what I'm wearing right?

Thank You.

P.S. I really didn't know what category to put it in...

Example from an answer to my previous question:

"If they speak not according to this word, it is because there is no light in them" - from the Bibe

Jesus warned about people like you pal.
"Many false teacher shall arise and deceive many".--Jesus Christ
You are merely helping fulfill the Bible prophecies.

Why does fundamentalist Christianity create the division as follows amougst human beings on Earth:

If you speak Jesus is God - you are someone of truth. If you are speak that Jesus is not God - you are someone who is a liar.

Is this any different that when David Koresh told the branch dividians that he was God and all who spoke otherwise were liars? Is this any different than Jim Jones or Heaven's Gate?

While I believe people are all entitled to their beliefs, part of me believing in that entitlement is not calling someone else "false" or "liar".

Is fundamentalist Christianity behavior akin to cult behavior. Why or why not?

I dare you, no, no, I double dare you for one month believe in Jesus Christ and pray to Jesus as God. And at the end of the month come back and tell us if your life was better with Jesus or the way it was without Jesus?

Hebrews 11:6-But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is [God], and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.
