I see people telling others to believe, in God. Isn't there supposed to be free will? The choice to decide; to believe in him, in something else, or nothing at all.

And isn't it wrong to try to force belief in Him?

Being a "gay activist" (well lesbian-ish) I run across a lot of misinformation, misinterpretations and just plain ignorant homophia. How do you, GLBT's, deal with it? How has it affected your lives?

In the course of ordinary daily affairs, are there any behavioral differences that would identify people based on religious beliefs?

If not, why do people claim it matters which religion (or non-religion) a person follows?

This question is not related to religious rituals people follow, it is related to ordinary activities followed by average people, going to work, shopping, dining out, etc.

Why tout such an illogical theory when the evidence blatently refutes it? Early man had very simian features. Please end Intelligent Design once and for all!!!

I see a few people on here using the line " you wouldn't want your children saying I pledge allegance to allah". I don't hear muslim or other "religions" complaining about the whole God thing, a few I know I have asked and they say " to them it's a word they subsititute or remove when they say it" But if you look in the courts the ones that are trying the hardest to remove it are "atheists".
My question is why ? can't they just not say it.

I'm not trying to be rude just wondering

The bank is writing an e-mail to a company to ensure them of the availability of the buyer’s bank account.

“Referring to the.............'s requesting. We would like to inform you that the mentioned company has a/c in our bank. The company can use the amount of money available 35000000 USD for opening L/C (letter of credit) considering the Bank's terms and its policies.

This certification has issued for the company's application and has no other values."

if the physicalities of this world at the rudimentry level are all atoms, and everything is atoms, would it not be plausible postulate that it is merely our eyes that seperate us from everything else.

God! I hate Reggeton! Like that daddy Yankee bastard, and Omar-whatever-hs--name-is! Im a young Hispanic boy, and I have seen how this music is making my people much more ignorant. Parents don't even know what the hell they say in the those stupid songs...But I know it influences young kids to be more sexually active. Seriously! kids start dressing like gangsters (much like that Yankee bastard) with diamond earing and all, and that it places a stereotype on hispanics in a bad way. But to whoever reads this know this: Not all Hispanics are retarded like that....If you hate It too, answer and let me know I am not alone....

For some reason when I read the book of Leviticus, it seems more like the words of a random sexist man than that of a divine being. Anyone else see this?

Hello, I'm trying to come up with a list of as many ways (normal, creative, unique, slang, etc.) as possible to say "goodbye" that most Americans would understand. Here are some examples: see ya, ta ta for now, toodles, adios, sayonara, until next time, peace out, au revoir, and farewell.

If you can keep your head when all about you
Are losing theirs and blaming it on you,
If you can trust yourself when all men doubt you
But make allowance for their doubting too,
If you can wait and not be tired by waiting,
Or being lied about, don't deal in lies,
Or being hated, don't give way to hating,
And yet don't look too good, nor talk too wise:
If you can dream--and not make dreams your master,
If you can think--and not make thoughts your aim;
If you can meet with Triumph and Disaster
And treat those two impostors just the same;
If you can bear to hear the truth you've spoken
Twisted by knaves to make a trap for fools,
Or watch the things you gave your life to, broken,
And stoop and build 'em up with worn-out tools:

If you can make one heap of all your winnings
And risk it all on one turn of pitch-and-toss,
And lose, and start again at your beginnings
And never breath a word about your loss;
If you can force your heart and nerve and sinew
To serve your turn long after they are gone,
And so hold on when there is nothing in you
Except the Will which says to them: "Hold on!"

If you can talk with crowds and keep your virtue,
Or walk with kings--nor lose the common touch,
If neither foes nor loving friends can hurt you;
If all men count with you, but none too much,
If you can fill the unforgiving minute
With sixty seconds' worth of distance run,
Yours is the Earth and everything that's in it,
And--which is more--you'll be a Man, my son!

Have you ever seen two people talking about the same thing? But
describing it differently, and they were arguing about it? Isn't
that what pride has done to us regarding religion? That we're
all talking about the same thing, and arguing about it?
