The general view on yahoo answers points that Sikh Religion is a branch out of Hindusim. Well this is strange for me. I have started reading Guru Granth (thank God I learned Gurmukhi) and the philosophy is no where near or points in the direction of Hinduism. Then what is this halla-baloo about??
I hope that we close this question here and state for the record that the Sikh religion is a distinct religion and is DEFINITELY NOT a sect of Hinduism.

Just a thought, you know,if there is no after life then pretty much that's about what it boils down to.(oops sorry)Temporarily Animated Meat.Heck the more I say it the more possible I think it is. Any suggestions? Don't bother telling me I am sick, I all ready know it's a disturbing image.

my sister is now into this church thing a lot not that there is anything wrong with it but its getting out of hand she is calling everyone brother and sister she wont cut her hair she wears long dresses all the time and she wont miss church for anything. its getting scary she was never like that before. Is there a certain name for what kind of religon she is choosing to go by. I dont talk to her now because all she talks about it jesus and it gets kind of boring i just want my sister back/ Can anyone tell me what it is

most of the people on this site have their factual information wrong. and it's not opinion, either. stuff like people saying that jesus was not an acual person. and it kills me that people actually beleive the garbage that everyone posts here. get your information correct before you go running your mouth about it here like you know everything. also, people asking questions: don't beleive every answer you receive here. look it up and confirm for yourself.

so please, be more considerate to the people who are going to beleive the misinformation that you post here.

do you really believe that God which is good and great would send you to hell, to an eternal fire? then why did He sent Jesus to save us? do you believe in Jesus, dont you? in my own opinion there cannot be any hell; maybe just a place where you go if you hate God, instead of loving Him, but if you repent, He'll take you in His arms and in His kingdom which He wanna share with you.

Do you believe it right, moral, ethical etc.. to be able to dictate what will happen to you in the event of a catastrophic accident?

I have a living will and in it I have clear guidelines about what should and should not happen to me in the case I become incapacitated in a catastrophic accident. In it I state that if I become legally brain dead I will not be kept alive by machinery and my usable organs will be donated. By the law of my state no other wishes can supersede this. I have taken the decisions out of everyone's hands but my own; and with the blessing of my spouse.

What are your thoughts on this?
