Christians think Jesus died for them to do all kinds of evil things,(ncluding murder) repent, say they're sorry and go to heaven

Muslims think killing people who are not muslims is pleasing God

i think that calling someones religion dumb is pretty ignorant. everyone has their own faith. who cares who's actually right or not. faith is a feeling that keeps you going everyday. many people who are homeless or dying of an illness survive off of that feeling. they try their hardest to be good people so that when they do die, their faith might have actually paid off to someone. im not shunning you because you're atheist. if you believe in only this world that's cool. there's nothing wrong in believing what you believe, but don't criticize and ridicule other proples religion just because you dont have one.

Muslims don't think that way , but it is like the patriotic notion for a non believer defending his country; when non Muslims attack Muslims or Islam, in a war , you (as a Muslim) just don't have the right to escape , you have to fight as strong as you can , and if you died in the line of defending you country , or religion , you are a martyr , and i believe that is reasonable thought ...

what give Islam a bad name is that the terrorists of al-qaeda , believe that Islam is under attack of a crusader war from the whole west , so they apply the previous rule and killing people , but of course they are wrong , of applying the rule of being brave and martyr on civilians , and in a situation that there is no really a war from the west against Islam , that is why they are extremist sick terrorists , Islam never ordered them to do so .

so killing people doesn't please God , no , killing people leads only to hell

Christ's death on the cross was to forgive all people for their sins. (If only they would accept Jesus as their Lord and Savior.) This DOES NOT mean that Jesus encouraged sin. The complete opposite!

I am a Christian. I accepted Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior 13 years ago. In my walk with Christ, I am learning how to live off of His example. Granted, I screw up from time to time. But it is because Christ died for my sins that I know I am forgiven. His death on the cross is NOT an excuse to commit sin. It is a way for us to repent and come clean before our God in heaven.

In defense of certain Muslims, not all of them are out to kill non-Muslims. It is only the extremist groups (terrorists) that are out to do that.

atheists Rule, for asking such a stupid, ignorant and hate-mongering question. You have to be out of your mind to post this sort of question at a time when so much strife can erupt at the mere mention of the wrong word. It may be true that many wars were grounded in religion, religious fervour, or misunderstanding of a specific religion; in the here and now, however, prudence is the greater part of valour.

You could always rephrase the question in a less imflammatory way, couldn't you?

Christians are dumber. They actually believe G-d came to earth in human form, and da de da da.

Only a few Muslims are as you say. And they are using Islam as a ploy for politics. Islam is a faith of love and peace. Study the true meaning of it. And, I am not a Muslim, I am a Jew.

Both have far right sectors, and these are the ones who, in my opinion, are the most worrying.

But let's not forget, lots of Christians are [fairly] normal, and not all Muslims believe killing non-Muslims is right.

Although, again in my opinion, if you had to go for a religion, you wouldn't go for either. Protestant and Catholic wars have been going on for as long as I can remember, and Muslim extremists (surely not actual Muslims?) kill in the name of religion.

When was the last time you heard of Hindus starting wars over religion? Or Buddhists? Or Seikhs? (sp).

be proud to be an atheist but that isn't grounds to be rude. you don't like religion that is fine, if you think it is fine then why is it wrong for another person to have religion. if people with religion offend you so much why be in this portion of answers? i don't understand the theories of some religions but that doesn't mean they can't have it. one isn't dumber than the other, alot of people would contest atheists are the dumb ones so chill out relax, be happy with what you are and do and let other people be happy with what they are and what they do.

Scientists today are eliminating models of God, but they are not eliminating God. If you translate this into Arabic, it is La illaha illal la, There is no god, (god with a small ‘g’ that is fake god) but God (with a capital ‘G’).

alright first off if you did something wrong would you want forgiveness? second off what do you believe? that you can do what ever (any of what you said Christan's want forgiveness for) and nothing happens?! for a Christan you still have to pay the price (all the way to death)but god will forgive you in judgment. and in a few years when something happens to you and your standing and talking to him (tell him i said hi) and you will think about what im saying. that's all i got to say.

P.S. i would suggest you don't say any thing like this with out any proof of your theory again (ware as Christan's have history going for them)

I think that the dumbest people are the ones who criticize others for their beliefs.

By the way, I'm an atheist too, but I understand that other people have the right to believe what they want. You could probably stand to learn that lesson.
