No disrespect, just curious. Was he gay maybe? He hung out with 12 guys but not a single woman came on to him. Well, there is that business with Mary Magdalene . . . please enlighten me. If he really was a man, it must have been tough as a teenager to be celibate. If he really was human . . . Is the Bible imposing its own censorship? If so, then the where's the Truth? The reason I ask is I wonder if there's a possiblity of any descendants?

11 Then God said, "Let the land produce vegetation: seed-bearing plants and trees on the land that bear fruit with seed in it, ACCORDING TO THEIR VARIOUS KINDS." And it was so. 12 The land produced vegetation: plants bearing seed ACCORDING TO THEIR KINDS and trees bearing fruit with seed in it ACCORDING TO THEIR KINDS. And God saw that it was good... 21 So God created the great creatures of the sea and every living and moving thing with which the water teems, ACCORDING TO THEIR KINDS, and every winged bird ACCORDING TO ITS KIND. And God saw that it was good…24 And God said, "Let the land produce living creatures ACCORDING TO THEIR KINDS: livestock, creatures that move along the ground, and wild animals, EACH ACCORDING TO ITS KIND." And it was so. 25 God made the wild animals ACCORDING TO THEIR KINDS, the livestock ACCORDING TO THEIR KINDS, and all the creatures that move along the ground ACCORDING TO THEIR KINDS. And God saw that it was good.
Pretty good job of answering the question millenia before it was asked!

I think that I am bisexual. I am attracted to both men and women. Recently my cousin has come out as a lesbian and she was treated very badly and she thinks that I should come out to my family too. The only difference is that I don't feel like it is anyone’s business who I do or don't sleep with. She says I am just afraid. But the truth is I am like this with all personal facets of my life. I feel like my personal preferences are MY business and that I shouldn’t be obligated to discuss them with anyone except the people that I choose to. Should I follow my cousin's advice and tell my family or should I do what I want?

I have been looking through a lot of questions (and anwsers) about the USA and I feel extremely hurt. I'm American and I don't understand why there are so many negative feelings against us. So many people have said that Americans are fat, arrogant, loud mouthed, ignorant, and lazy, etc. It is true that there may be those type of people in America but one can find any of those people in any other country. People are people no matter what country you go to. I'm not looking for angry or offensive answers I just want to know: Why is it that Americans are so generalized?
I used to want to go to the UK so badly and after reading about so many negative opinions towards my country and people I'm not so sure that I will not feel alienated if I go.

Theory of evolution and the interpretation of Genesis

See also: Evolution and the Roman Catholic Church.

In an October 22, 1996, address to the Pontifical Academy of Sciences, Pope John Paul II updated the Church's position to accept evolution of the human body:

"In his encyclical Humani Generis (1950), my predecessor Pius XII has already affirmed that there is no conflict between evolution and the doctrine of the faith regarding man and his vocation, provided that we do not lose sight of certain fixed points....Today, more than a half-century after the appearance of that encyclical, some new findings lead us toward the recognition of evolution as more than an hypothesis. In fact it is remarkable that this theory has had progressively greater influence on the spirit of researchers, following a series of discoveries in different scholarly disciplines.

Is there a possibility that, since the nations show little regard for God's purpose they might completely ruin the earth for habitation anyway? Isn't that what Satan wants is rule or ruin?
Is God going to allow him to destroy the earth?

Speaking of all Christians1 Peter 2:9 says "ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood". But can you show me where it says we need a priestly order with a Pope at the top of the heap?

I think the Jewish priesthood was transfered to Rome by Caiaphas the high priest when he made the proclamation "We have no king but Caesar."

Therefore, when Rome evicted the Jews from the land, it was within this acquired authority to do so. When Rome executed Jews who wouldn't submit to their religious authority, it was also by this authority.

Rome renamed the land "Palestina", and to this day have opposed the Jews occupation of the land.

Second part of the question; Do you believe in "replacement theology", that is that because the Jews rejected their Messiah, all the promises to Jews now fall upon Christians?

Just so I don't get called names, I should tell you, I don't believe this way.

You go on a trip to Australia. Your mother is with you, and she got bit by a snake, and will die in a few seconds. You have the anti venom. You can give it to her or pray. What comes first? Do you value praying over medicine? The catch is, your mouth is dry from the hot air, soo bad that you can't talk. You can get a water bottle, and wet your moth so you can pray, but if it does not work, she is dead. Get the water, and pray, or anti-venom? What do you do? What do you value more?

If NO, I say to you, the Lord deserves to be praised. He is worthy to be praised. Praise the Lord of all his marvelous works. Praise him in all the earth, for he is greatly to be praised. Give the Lord a shout, shout to the Lord, call on his name. Cry to the Lord, for if you need help. Praise him, the Lord of all the earth. The King who is greatly to be praised. I say to you, the Lord loves it when we praise him. O ye people of God worship him, for is greatly to be worshipped. For he is the creator of the heavens and the earth. For the trees worship the Lord, and the waters roar and sing to the Lord. Praise the Lord for he is good. Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good. His love endures forever.
