Our curiosity that led us to religion is unlimited, yet our capacity to understand is limited. We prefer simple answers. We like it as just a simple choice between black and white, good and evil. We like to have all the answers in neat little books, or booklets, or quick how-to's. So, the moment we find an answer, we wish that it is the only answer (so that we can avoid the complicated).
It's a human tendency. And yet the simplistic approach is what pushes us away from the truth (which, in our limitedness, must be sought by exploring all possible points of view). The remedy for this is to listen to other points of view. But the simplistic in us would rather just say that we have found the answer, and stop searching for more answers. The result is intolerance for other views.
If the close-minded Christians are guilty of it, so are the fanatics of Islam, and many other religions. Every religion has its fair share of simplistic-minded fanatics at its fringes, who prefer to put everything in terms of black and white, good and evil, "either you're with us, or you're against us" rhetoric. As if there are no shades in between.
That is why we need to dialogue, to talk, and to avoid extremist points of view if we are to solve our conflicts in the world. The conflict between Israel and Hizbollah which is killing thousands of innocent people is just another example of the toll on us due to intolerance.

When you are a Christian. You believe that the Bible is the God's life manual for us. And when you believe that the Bible is true, we cannot be concerned about other people's opinions. The Bible is very clear about the message that our God is the only God and the only God who can save you. He does not want us to have any other gods, so He is aware of the fact that people tend to worship other gods.
I do not even like the word religion. Jesus came to earth to free us from religions. He taught us to have a personal relationship with God. If you want to be with Jesus after you die, you need to pay attention to instructions.
There are many many people getting together everyday to study the Bible. We want to learn what our Lord wants us to know and do. We are not sending anyone to hell. We are spreading the Gospel, that is the good news that God loves you. He will respect your free will. We do not get saved because we are better than others. We need Jesus. We get saved only by the grace and mercy of God. And that is available for you too.

Hey! Nice Realization! Yes, in fact there are 7 Seals/Messages of God which had to come in order for the whole plan of God to be completed. (Revelation 10:7)
So, the books of the Mysical Paths, Vedas, etc,; the Old Testament; The New Testament; Koran; The Bayan of Bahais; the Ananda Marga Sutras which explain how to recognize the Elects/paravipras and NOW ----The book sealed with 7 seals has been sent to Humanity. It is called: The Holiest of the Holies (THOTH) The Last Testament.
This last Book unifies all the previous revelations of God and takes away all the things humanity has added over the thousands of years and it all makes sense now. These are end days and now the 7th Seal has been given.
Hope you take the time to check it out!

The bible is the only book in existence that you can line up with history as in the way events take place down to how the very earth was formed in the fact of what came first. It is the only book where you can look at prophecy and see it has never failed. In all the years it has been here no one can say look at this verse or that verse and say it is not true or did not happen. They can only speculate and give opinions.I believe the only reason most don't believe is because they don't want to come to grips with the idea that they really are not in control. When the unexplainable happens, instead of giving God his due glory and praise they say we can't understand it or say maybe this and maybe that. Those people are only wise in their own eyes therfore making them fools.

Actually enlightened people also read the other religious books. You have to remember there are extremists in all religions and Christianity has theirs. Look at Pat Robinson and all the TV preachers. Fundamentalism is bad for all of mankind. Keep reading and follow the golden rule and you will do well.

If you are a christian then the bible is the only book....
If you are muslim then its the qu'ran (koran)
everyone has their own sacred texts.
I am not religious, but I dont think any religion is better than another, I think that people tend to believe what they are brought up to believe. Its a matter of geography, not really the "truth"
People are going to follow what gives them strength and hope.
I love krishnamurti, he was a very wise man.

they were raised to believe that the bible is the only possible answer to their questions, which i find quite sad.i think jesus had a much different image of any religion that could be founded on his teachings. i'm just guessing, but he probably would have wanted his followers to be compassionate, open minded, and peaceful. he probably would have wanted christianity to be the most accepting world religion, and he would have hoped christians could see the truth in the beliefs of others...but, like i said, i'm just guessing.

If you do research you will find that the Bible has been proven to be true over and over. Right now there are dead sea scrolls being uncovered that the Bible speaks of. A great source to find out information like this and others is www.raptureready.com
I already was a Christian before reading the info on that site, but it reinforces my belief that the Bible is the INSPIRED (breathed by God) Word of Truth!
