Berkeley is an institution held in the highest regard. They do not "pick sides", have no "agenda" to push, and have no "dogma".
If you are going to study evolution, stay away from "creation scientists" etc. They are obviously biased towards creationism and want to bend the truth to their religious needs.
If you do encounter materials through "answers in genesis" and the "institute for creation research", balance what you've read there with what you can read here;

Lots of "fact based" info, rather than "faith led" info.
I have studied religion, have you REALLY studied evolution, or just used your faith and assumed what your preacher/favourite site tells you?
