I agree...especially about the part of your religion being "faith-based". Very good point and I have seen the non-spiritual getting a bit more aggressive on here. I've also seen some of the Christians (so-called) getting pretty hateful towards others. When I see that, I try to remind them that we are looking for respect and understanding and insulting others is not going to get us anywhere. So, lately I've seen it going both ways....unfortunately.

Well, I have wondering that myself for a very long time. To make things more interesting, people who did not simpathize with the comunist government in Cuba and were atheists, insisted in criticize our beliefs instead of joining us against comunism.
Looks like some people place their nonreligious convictions above their political ideas, something that in Cuba makes absolutely no sense.
As far as I have seen things in this country, it looks the same here. I think that they are fanatic, evil, and ignorant

Ummm.... that's a place to talk ideals. you do not ought to get in on those conversations. yet no remember who you're or what you have faith, somebody thinks it rather is stupid. It would not unavoidably propose the guy hates non secular human beings. specific, some Christians injury human beings-- some Christians belittle human beings's ideals, attempt to disprove human beings's Gods, to not point out attempt to stress their ideals into public coverage. the place have you ever been? you have not seen this?

Why do some Christians feel the need to disprove the beliefs of non-Christians?
I think it's not so much the beliefs as the fact that many Christians think they should be applied to everyone else.

Maybe it's because we can see how much the church brainwashes you and blinds you to it's gaping flaws.
I.E In the middle ages scientists were an abomination to god and Executed by the church yet you use the very technology your own church fought against for hundreds of years. Now though the church has completely changed it's tune to fit into society of today rather than stick to it's preachings.
Also believe in what you will but I get so fed up with Christians or all religions forcing there beliefs in my face, that's whats most annoying.

Sure, it's a deal !! And here I thought I was trying to be open minded by asking questions and trying to understand your faith. I guess what I didn't realize was that you don't question it, so of course, I don't have the right to either.
That's cool, I'm comfortable with my beliefs. I don't think we should be fighting about it anyhow, I was just tryin to "walk in your shoes" so to speak.
Peace, k? Believe whatever you want, and I'll do the same =)

I'm an atheist and don't care what you believe.
I answer questions because it seems Christians are the worst about using lies (lies = Einstein believed in creation; historical evidence supports bible; Christianity was invented in Jerusalem, etc.) to support their myths Someone has to refute those lies so impressionable children are not led down false paths.
Why don't Christians use this forum to support their beliefs rather than whining about non-believers?
Oh, that's right, the bible is a book of mythology, so you cannot debate the foundation, you have to lie about it, or, mindlessly repeat lies told by others.
But, to each his own.

They're mentally unstable. If I was an atheist,THANK GOD that I'm NOT, I would stay clear of a section like this. I know lot of true atheists that wouldn't come to this section. They respect my beliefs and I respect theirs. I will not respect a person who whirls insults at me for my beliefs and expect otherwise. I will continue to speak out and help those who are truly searching!

Oft times, it's simply "an eye for an eye". A lot of Christians simply spew biblical passages, and it's a way to retaliate on equal footing.
Of course, it's also often simply searching for knowledge about Christianity, but is misconstrued as insulting.
