From time to time (and I haven't been a member long enough) I see people asking questions like "where have all the good people gone?", " are there any good people left in this world?", "can you trust anyone nowadays?", etc... and usually people reply saying that there are good people left, that they personally are good people, etc. If the response is so positive and everyone seems to ask themselves the same, then how come all of those who think the same (including myself) don't manage to meet any "good people"? I mean how come all of us who are looking for good people (and at least in peoples' answers it seems that many are looking for good people) haven't met with each other?

With your condemning, sarcastic remarks. Do you think you are any different than the crowd who stood and cried "Crucify Him, Crucify Him!" Are you any different than those who falsely accused him? Are you any different than the ones who drove in the nails and the sword? We are all sinners. God loved us so much that he watched his son take on the filth of the world. religious experience if my boyfriend sits in front of the tv all day and by doing so he iirratetes the **** **** out of me.

i am a professional person w/a masters degree and defending my thesis for my doctorate. i like to dress casual and i mostly prefer cotton to synthetic material. Buying the latest fashion, expensive clothing was never my forte', but i have noticed that people assign a lot of significance--like intelligence, competence, credibility, etc..It makes me mad that i have to conform to the culture even though i do not relate to it. there are a lot of morons dressed to the nines...do any of you feel like this. maybe i'm the oddball here.

I've been thinking about this whole christianity thing and came to a conclusion. It really seems limiting in spiritual growth. I'm thinking about all the things I learned about hinduism, buddhism, gnosticism, mysticism, even atheism. I have learned so much more about living in the now, understanding jesus more, even being able to interpret some of the deeper meanings of the bible. It taught me that WE do exist on multiple levels of reality. the bible really limits this. There is alot of truth in it, but there is so much more in the rest of the world. It seems everyone got a piece of the puzzle, and if the message was to love thy neighbor, and love meaning "understanding", we could fit all the pieces together. Have you ever wondered if someone could take the best and most beneficial parts of all religions, well it is out there, but these guys only want serious deep thinkers and self-determined people capable of serving mankind to the fullest.

What do Christians make of dinosaur fossils? Do they completely deny they ever existed? Or do they believe dinosaurs roamed the earth 6,000 years ago?

What about evidence of human activity over 6,000 years old?

Was the universe also created 6,000 year ago? If so, what do you make of some distant stars? Their light takes over 10,000+ years to reach earth, making the universe older than 6,000 years old. Do Christians discredit this just like they deny carbon dating?
