because they are desperate for money...they will say ANYTHING to make the sale. A car salesman changed the offer made for my trade in at closing and i just sat there in his office shocked and would not sign to pick up my new car. He then acted like it was a mistake and changed the trade in price back to what we had agreed.
therefore don't listen to the salesman you obviously need everything in writing.
