My first language is Japanese.

Please teach me the minings of these terms.

1 It has rained for 2 weeks.
2 It has been raining for 2 weeks.

Is the first one correct precisely?

I guess 1st one means, the rainy-day may be only 1 day.
and we should say, for the LAST 2 weeks.

2nd one means. the rainy-day is 14days

What do you think??

OK. Maybe I am being petty here. I live on the outskirts of town. Town size approx 70,000. I do not live in a subdivision, but have people next door on both sides. About an acre of land in between each of the houses. Across the street is a house as well. I have 3 small children (6 and under). One of the next door neighbors and the people across the street both mow their lawns until at least 9:30. Last night since they have a light on their mower they didn't finish until 10:30! I am trying to get my kids to bed by 8:30, but with all the noise, they do not understand why they need to go to bed. We moved here 2 years ago. It is just getting worse and worse. When I lived in a subdivision or growing up in town, noone ever thought of mowing past 8. Am I old fashioned? Are people just rude now of days? What do you think? What would you do?

i was told by a christian that there were no dinasaurs,or any of that other stuff,but there was without a doubt more evidence found about the dinasaurs then jesus,i believe in jesus,but i think its hillarious that all the evidence and museums are full of lies,i believe we were born to evolve by god as was everything before us,but to say there were never any dinasaurs is crazy,because god didnt create them,its crazy to me,people say the bibles words are proof of jesus and god,well to me bones and artifacts are also evidence i mean very solid evidence,so are we all crazy for believing in dinasaurs lol

Have you noticed how many anti or non christian people come on here wanting explanations on Christianity?
I wonder, if they are so against Christianity, why all the interest? To me that proves they are searching for something that's missing inside them. So obvious isn't it??
If I hated something as much as they seem to hate Christianity, I wouldn't care what it's people believed nor would I keep asking them about it.

People of all religions - Judiasm, Hinduism, Christianity, Islam, Buddhism, Zoraoastraism, etc, - have claimed to hear the voice of god and s/he/it told them what to write in put in books. They have all had similar god-experiences. Who is right? Why?

Has anyone noticed that people from the southeast are hotter than people from the rrest of the country? I've lived all over the place and southern women are just do d@#% hot. Women from the northeast and the rest of the country just can't compare. Why is that? Seriously, like every other woman you see has the perfect figure and face. Is it selective breeding or what? Also, just step on any of the southern college campuses and it's ridiculous just how gorgeous the women are. Also, the men in the south are very attractive as well...at least the upper-class ones. There are still a lot of rednecks and hicks, but in the general population of the south, there are sooo many gorgeous all-american people. Anbody agree who's lived all over the country?

This verse is one where Paul wrote a long list of what we shouldn't do. Don't kill one another. Don't lie or cheat or steal. The list goes on to include fornication, idolatry, whoremongering, perjury, etc. He also includes "malokois" and "arsenokoitai."

What's a malokois? What's an arsenokoitai? Actually, those two Greek words have confused scholars to this very day.

Greek scholars say that in first century the Greek word malaokois probably meant "effeminate call boys." The New Revised Standard Version says "male prostitutes."

As for arsenokoitai, Greek scholars don't know exactly what it means.

In 1958, for the first time in history, a person translating that mysterious Greek word into English decided it meant homosexuals, even though there is, in fact, no such word in Greek or Hebrew.

In the past,people used Paul's writings to support slavery, segregation, and apartheid.Is it happening again?Is a word in Greek that has no clear definition being used to condemn gays?

Islam means peace in Arabic. It hurts a lot of people saying their prophet was a negative person. Muslims do not think Jesus was bad at all. In fact Muslims believe in Jesus, it was stated in the Quran that they were to believe in Jesus (one of the many prophets). Even Mohamed believed in the many prophets, such as Abraham, and Jesus. Christianity and Islam are very similar. They were taught to respect other religions, treat each others like brothers not enemies. Ofcourse there are terrorists, but all religions do, its the person who are the terrorist not the religion. No matter what religion there has to be a bad person in the religion.
