do muslim men take mohomed's teaching on this literally? and do muslim wives actually pander to these teachings like sheep?

I asked this question in the lesbian, gay room but in 20 minutes have still not received an answer. My question is that I have read of former homosexuals deciding to become heterosexual. If this is true then doesn't this go against the theory that they are born that way? I also said I mean no disrespect and would like a respectful answer please.

I go to a church where there are quite a few rich people there and my old pastor got in good with the rich folk of the church and before the end they eventually stuck it to him. Now we have a new pastor and he is making the same mistakes our old pastor did by getting in good with the rich folk. Didn't Jesus mainly preach to the poor? I'm having alot of trouble with this, because I can really see this pastor making the very same mistakes and when I have talked to him at church he really doesn't act like he is very interested in what I have to say, maybe I'm just making a mountain out of a mole hill.
