I go to a church where there are quite a few rich people there and my old pastor got in good with the rich folk of the church and before the end they eventually stuck it to him. Now we have a new pastor and he is making the same mistakes our old pastor did by getting in good with the rich folk. Didn't Jesus mainly preach to the poor? I'm having alot of trouble with this, because I can really see this pastor making the very same mistakes and when I have talked to him at church he really doesn't act like he is very interested in what I have to say, maybe I'm just making a mountain out of a mole hill.

I attend a small predominantly working class Southern Baptist Church in North Carolina. My pastor doesn't preach for the money, he preaches because he was called by God to preach. Large churches don't do it for me. If your pastor isn't preaching the Gospel and the congregation don't run him off, maybe you should find another church that does and a pastor who will listen to anyone regardless to how much money they are able to contribute. You can't buy your way into Heaven. By the way, Satan has the best attendance record in all churches.

The Southern Baptist Church was created as a direct result of the split that became the Civil War. After the war the leadership of the CSA used the SBC as a place to hide and lick their wounds and to harbor and direct the efforts of the KKK. They are the religious institution built to support the ideas of the old confederacy. They have always been treacherous. They do not follow the teachings of Jesus, they follow the Calvinist ideals that have been twisted over the years.

Mainly preaching to ANYONE is wrong. To make any kind of favortism in the way of finances is wrong. Jesus tells us specifically that.

You are right to bring your concerns to your pastor. Keep talking to him. You do this in love because you won't reach him my condemnaton. Pray for him.

Warning against false teacher
1Tm:6:1: Let as many servants as are under the yoke count their own masters worthy of all honour, that the name of God and his doctrine be not blasphemed.
1Tm:6:2: And they that have believing masters, let them not despise them, because they are brethren; but rather do them service, because they are faithful and beloved, partakers of the benefit. These things teach and exhort.
1Tm:6:3: If any man teach otherwise, and consent not to wholesome words, even the words of our Lord Jesus Christ, and to the doctrine which is according to godliness;
1Tm:6:4: He is proud, knowing nothing, but doting about questions and strifes of words, whereof cometh envy, strife, railings, evil surmisings,
1Tm:6:5: Perverse disputings of men of corrupt minds, and destitute of the truth, supposing that gain is godliness: from such withdraw thyself.
1Tm:6:6: But godliness with contentment is great gain.
1Tm:6:7: For we brought nothing into this world, and it is certain we can carry nothing out.
1Tm:6:8: And having food and raiment let us be therewith content.
1Tm:6:9: But they that will be rich fall into temptation and a snare, and into many foolish and hurtful lusts, which drown men in destruction and perdition.
1Tm:6:10: For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.
PRAY FOR HIM AND DONT WORRY,LEAVE IT IN THE HANDS OF THE LORD,AND PRAY DAILY.

Yeah......Satan's got his hands in nearly all of gods churches.
A pastor can't even tell these people that they are wrong without facing the wrath of the deacons. Too much money involved.
