Why did Jesus lie to his brothers about going to Jerusalem (John 7:8-10) Did God the Father send a lying spirit, as he did in 1 Kings? Like Father, like Son?

Why did Jesus, by his own admission, break the Sabbath law (John 5:16-18) This puts the lie to the Christian idea that the perfect Jesus fulfilled the whole Law, and therefore was a suitable unblemished sacrifice for our sins.

Why did Jesus say the ruler's daughter was not dead? (Matt 9:18-25; Luke 8:41-56) Either Jesus lied, or he performed no miracle, but the context clearly shows that it was understood to be a miracle.

Insults, slants, wisecracks, serious or teasing, one-liners, etc. I'm working on a story and one of the central characters is a very undesirable individual. I need some new material, modern jibes. And if you're thinking of reporting me or any posts just kiss off and go watch Pokemon or something.

PS: Nothing racial please.

Is it basic instinct when we praise and thank God? Or is it just a thing we've learned to do? So, if a person was born without knowing a thing about God and religion..Do you think that person would praise and thank God?

Forget all that Inquisition and whatnot, eh? Poor little Christians, with the puppy dog eyes!!

Do you really not see what your religion has done and why people would view it negatively? No amount of good can counteract all that evil.

God tells Adam and Eve not to eat of the fruit of the tree of knowledge of good and evil. If this was the only way they could understand the difference between good and evil, how could they have known that it was wrong to disobey God and eat the fruit? Really think about this because the legend dictates that they DID NOT HAVE THE ABILITY TO KNOW RIGHT FROM WRONG.

If Catholics are baptized as babies then what happens if later on in their life they really realize what Christianity really is? Because if born-again Christians are the only "real" Christians then are Catholics saved? If not, is it possible for Catholics to get baptized again? If that is possible and they don't do so...then they are considered "real" Christians? Serious answers please!

16"For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son,[f] that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. 17For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him. 18Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because he has not believed in the name of God's one and only Son.[g] 19This is the verdict: Light has come into the world, but men loved darkness instead of light because their deeds were evil. 20Everyone who does evil hates the light, and will not come into the light for fear that his deeds will be exposed. 21But whoever lives by the truth comes into the light, so that it may be seen plainly that what he has done has been done through God."[h]
where does it say he is dying for the sins of the world?

Why all this gay and lesbian obsession nowadays? It is clearly wrong in the eyes of God/Allah/Yahweh. Is there something wrong with people that would make them think that homosexuality is ok? I don't support violent attacks on homosexuals, but I don't support gay marriage or the acceptance of homosexuality either. It seems like it's ok to hate Moses, Christ, Mohammad, and the other great prophets and the religions that they represent, but saying anything bad about gays and lesbians is some horrible thing.

I was just reading a question someone asked about bible verses and how they say Jesus said he was going to turn brother against brother and all. I believe it was Matthew 10:34 and a few other verses from Matthew. I read the question and thought "There is no way the bible says that" so I looked it up. It did say that. So I thought maybe something before or after the verse would explain it. I read Matthew10 entirely and nothing really explained it. Yet no one bothered to really answer the question. They called him a false prophet and other names but never explained the verses. Now I am not a Christian but I am not against them either. I am curious about the verses. Why won't someone answer the question at hand and explain it all for those of us that really want to know?

The ones I know pesonally used grew up as Christians, went to jail and came out as Muslims. Some don't even do all that praying. All they do is swear that Jesus was just a profit and nothing else. Their ademant about not eating pork, It's like they traded Jesus Christ for "no pork eating". Plus I read that the Islamic way of living is a culture, not a religion. Are these things true?
