Absolutely! Some of my best friends have been guys. Plus, a guy who does't know how to be a friend to a girl not only misses out on something really special, but usually turns out to be a jerk.

I have a number of really good guy friends. The secret of getting it right is to talk openly early in the relationship about how you feel. With each of the guys we have talked and agreed that we don't see a romantic connection at this point in time and so that creates a framework where we can develop a really good friendship. We trust each other and know there is no alterior motives.

For me, I can easily just be friends with a girl if I'm not attracted to her, and there's no chance of that changing, because I know what kind of girl I'm looking for. If I am attracted to a girl that I just want to be friends with, I will probably have feelings for her, and I may let her know that, but we will mutually agree to hold it off, because i'm only 19 and i'm not ready to get married at this point in my life. I want to get rich first so I can give my wife a good life.

I am a girl and have lots of guy friends. I guess there's some chance that there could be romantic feelings on either part, but most of my just friends guy friends have tastes that don't run in my direction, and vice versa.

It could be possible, but the more time you spend with a person the more feelings you have for them especially if they are both straight.

of course they can. i have a guy friend and we've NEVER had feelings for each other, EVER. we're just friends.
the guy could also be gay and have a friend that is female. that is possible too.

Guys and girls can definitely just be friends. It depends on the two people if there'll be feelings underneath.

I don't think that it is at all bad. I have a lot of guy friends that I would never think of having a stronger relationship with.

Yep. Just have to establish friendship based on real qualities not because you think they are cute. It can be a great friendship
