I really am not trying to be offensive, I just find the term amusing. If so I will go back to using fundamentalistic theist (it's just so much to type) Besides you can't spell fundie without fun, huh huh (raising eyebrows awkwardly) ...

I've asked this before but only get unworkable answers. The last time I felt like killing myself, I told someone (a catholic preist) who subsequently called the police, who in turn brought me to a hospital.

They did nothing to help me there, only pumped me full of drugs, watched me and kicked me out when I couldn't pay and state assitance rejected me. They are now sueing me for $11,000. There are no answers for me there.

I got to AA, but have been completely ostracized by the people there. All of the people I know, also know my ex-girlfriend, whos is very popular, especially with all the men, married included, now that she's single.

Last night I went to a meeting to ask for help, she and others were there. None of the guys would help me, but plenty were available to go out with her for her anniversary.

My prayers go unanswered. I just want someone to sit next to me for a while. I'm trying againg tonite.

If it doesn't work, I have to kill myself. I can't take t

can not be good - that they have to be evil. I believe these were people who were "christians" -- I am trying to do some research. I want to find out WHERE in the Bible it states that souls that are with us have to be evil and can't be anything else. I find it hard to believe. This is a place where I don't care if you quote from the Bible. If there are christians who believe otherwise (that they can be good) and your reasons for it too. Thank you.

I know this seems kind of random, putting all these languages together, but i just wanted to get someone's attention who spoke them so they could tell me about theirs. You don't have to answer and tell me about all of them, just whatever you know. What i am asking is what makes each language hard to learn? What makes it easy? What makes it unique? (For example: Spanish is easy because of you can drop subject pronouns but hard because of its subjunctive mood). I really love languages and want to learn about them all! Please help if you can! Thanks!

This is to clarify a few things that I have read that are incorrect.

People believe that if you convert into a Christian you have to stop using your brain and sacrifice your intellect and ignore the rational processes. This is a myth.

Many of the most brilliant minds in history belonged to Christians. Many were important leaders, influential and famous writers, investigators, missionaries the list goes on. Examples are Martin Luther King (civil rights leader), the writer C.S Lewis, Lew Wallace, Frank Morrison, Deitrich Bonhoeffer, Francis Schaeffer, Apostle Paul, Saint Augustine, Martin Luther(german theologian),John Calvin and many many more.

Look for the autobiography of these people like C.S Lewis and Lew Wallace and you will be surprised that they were non-believers just like you and realized he really exist.

The conversion to Christianity doesn't affect the intellect of a person, it complements it.

I recently found out that my wife has kissed a freind of hers at work a few times, I don't know how to take it. I know she is attracted to women and that is kind of sexy but what is okay when it comes to fulfilling those fantasies? I confroned her about it and she says it is no big deal but the only reason I found out was by reading some emails that she talks with her frinds about. Advice?

I am so sick of GOD BLESS YOU being said after someone sneezes. Guess what, your soul did not just try to escape. I don't say it because I don't want people thinking I believe in god. But when my wife sneezes and I say nothing, people stare me down like I am rude,or sheepishly assert their own blessing. I for one, have had enough. Let's just start saying "would you like a tissue?" wouldn't that be more constructive? even if you don't have one, they could say ,"sure" and you could ask around for one or be a man and offer a sleeve. get behind me people, let's make something positive happen through yahoo answers for once

Do you know about the Holy Fournity Revised Version(Revised in the Holy Council of Pissia)??
GOD THE GRANDPA was a very mean-minded and jealous God.
He tortured and masscred loads of people upto 10 generations because they didn't think him COOL. He had a son (God Papa). He was a bit cold tempered and diplomatic than his father. So, he selected a group people as his chosen people and screwed them.
Later he also became insane and thought an alternate method of becoming COOL. He send his Uncle a Bird named HOLY PHANTOM with some of his sperms to make pregnant a woman from that group. Thus was born GOD THE HIPPIE. God Papa managed to make the HIPPIE suffer and declared that--"I soooooo
love you that I made my son suffer like a pig."
Now those who won't recognize that fact and say that I AM SOOOO COOL will be roasted eternally in my sadistic barbeque stove.

You can't take a passage from a book and say it's the truth of all things. doesn't work that way. it's word on a page, not you physically showing it to me in action, no visual besides your imagination to expand on it, so how can you dare say 'you' know the absolute truth when all you're doing is simply reading words off a page in a book?

I don't take Dr Seuss and start quoting green eggs and ham saying it's the truth, and then when you ask how and why, say 'because it is so'.....would you fall for that? NO

The man known as Paul, also called the 13th apostle, was originally named Saul. Until he was about 30 years old, Saul was an outspoken critic of the new cult of rebel Jews following the teachings of the Rabbi Yeshua, who we now know of as Jesus. Paul later became the first evangelist.

Saul's anti Christian stance was abruptly reversed when on the road to Damascus, he had a vision. The Bible says he lost his sight for three days, and when he recovered, he was a convert.(Acts, chapter 9)

In Damascus, Saul began to preach, but the locals drove him out of town. He went to Jerusalem and tried to preach there, but Jesus' followers didn't trust him either. He escaped to his home town, Tarsus, in Cilicia, also known as Cesarea.

Anyway, was saul (paul) a prophet of God?

Why should we take his word for anything?

Jesus (Old Skool) followers didn't trust him either?

Was Pauls interpretation of Christianity based on Paganism?

"Ancient religion of the god Mithras?"

I mean, really, since it's totally unknown and incomprehensible to know besides 'faith' or whatever you create in your head to make sense of it, it's true that we all will very well die and become nothing after death, no matter how bad, good, or whatever we were here in life, we die and thats' that...deal with it
