No, personally i do not believe in god, or a higher power. Not that i am against people that do. But i think that if there were a god or a higher power. Children would not be getting raped and killed, and he (or she) would not just stand by and watch the world become what it is now.

And i've been explained to many times that god doesn't control peoples actions, he just watches and what not.

But i don't think that if there were a god, that things like this would be happening.

Agnostic myself. I believe that God is a spirit that exists in each of us and in everything. No powers or miracles or strengths or anything like that. It is not some higher power. It is just that some people found a way to package this spirit using their idea of it and sell it to the gullible masses. Many so called prophets have said " Look neither here not there for the kingdom of God is within you". What is so hard to understand about that? I wonder.

I believe that there is a higher power. I'm also just not sure what that is. I consider myself someone who believes in a lot of scientific theory, for example I believe in evolution. Sometimes I don't understand why there are a lot of people out there that believe it has to be one or the other, why can't the divine and science live in harmony, in balance with each other. I can't explain the reason why I believe in a higher power, I just can't imagine the way I feel about somethings in the world is only caused by chemical reactions.

It is really easy to believe in a higher power anything outside of our control is a higher power. The weather, nature, the universe. Now believing in a man, but not a man who controls everything is another story.

Many people will argue that God is nothing more than an analogy for everything that we can't explain. Before here was scientific inquiry much more of the world was explained thorugh Myth, Religion, and Analaogy.

I believe in God because He is there. If you just talk to him, and follow him, you will figure that out. I am just a teenager, but I definitely know he exists, because of his miracles. Examples of his existence, at least in the Catholic faith:

We have this thing called transsubstantiation. We change these little bread wafers into his body, and the wine into his blood. Not literally, but in a symbolic way, persay. About 30-some years ago, over in Italy I think it was, the priest that was holding the body did not really contract the idea it was his body. The next time he looked at it, it was FLESH. True flesh. They took it to a laboratory and found out that it actually was flesh, from a long time ago. This is no joke. You will probably find this online. There is an example.

I believe in God. Why? Well, I've spent my life seeking and this is what I have come to believe. BTW Agnostic means you beleive its impossible to know whether or not there is a God.

I'm agnostic too. I've studied all religions and there is basically one rule that they all teach. Treat others as you would want to be treated. But I honestly can't say that God or Allah or Buddah or whoever is "God". Hell, I've even heard a theory that angels are in fact aliens from another world who came down to help us become better human beings. But I'm not so sure about Sceintology. That's one religion that I haven't fully studied so I can't judge.

ya i feel the same way as you-- but maybe not even a higher power- unless you can consider the higher power to be space and time- god is like santa claus-- you want to believe but there is no proof- but what if he does exist and u dont believe- than u wont get any presents

I'd believe in the higher power before I would believe in God again.

Well I believe in a higher power. I think it is just that we humans need something to call that higher power. So sum of us call it God, Buddha, Allah, etc.
