First, I apologize for the long question.

Let's assume there are two types of people: the believers and the non-believers, with thousands of subcategories of each.

In life, noone can know what happens after death or if God exists. Therefore, every person in life is just trying to have a belief based on nothing that will comfort them and provide motivation.

The believers of Christianity and or what-have-you will say that they are motivated by the fact that are to be judged one day and want to live a good life and dead relatives watch over them, while atheists are motivated by human achievement, the fact that Jesus is not going to one day come and end the world, that we will not one die and God will say life was pointless, it was just a test to see if you were worthy of Heaven, that your accomplishments to change the world for the better mean something.

Can't we all just be tolerant and get along, knowing that noone knows and we just want to do what is right for us?

No Bible quotes!

If God came back to Earth and apologised to everyone, revealing that he was just an alien scientist who stuffed up big-time with the big-bang in a laboratory experiment that went terribly wrong, and it’s just taking ages getting around the universe trying to cleanup things.

He pleaded with everyone to stop believing in him as some sort of God and just get on with your lives as there was nothing after you passed away. He was just trying to put the universe back together again, just cleaning up, and all the residual mess, humanity included would just be bottled up once again.

What would you do?

I've seen so many come to the Lord over the years and I've never once believe someone who said: "There is no God" they say that but they do know. That's why they come to every Christian Chat..here on Religion..they know. They will sit there forever saying they are no more than a land rat...but they know. When they get converted they all say that...I really did believe but I tried my best to find reasons not too...I wanted a free pass...but they all hang out where Christians do...they love to tell us how they can" think on their own" as if they are a big boy or girl...see I can think...look at me. They aren't fooling anyone.

Do you agree?

The bible defines marriage as one man and one woman bonded in holy matrimony. However this land was defined by freedom. Freedom from religious prosecution. This means not everyone in this land has to believe in the bible, or the same interpretation the bible. So why is this one definition of marriage being force upon us as if it is the law just because the bible says so?

This is why the founding fathers made the statement that state and church should be separate. If they are separate than the definition of marriage is wrong and we should be allowed to marry. Correct?

I have always really loved women; I still only have fantasys or romantic interest in genetic women ie thinking of holding or kissing or one day settling down. I got out the Army (13F) got divorced and Ive been stuck in my parents house recovering from an injury for the last lear only going out to the hospital once a month. Ive found myself frequently enjoying transgendered porn. Being reasonably intelligent I realise we as human beings can get off to many differnt things and dont have to label ourself accordingly such as I also have got off watching hentai, or anime,BDSM,zoo, watersports, and many things Im pretty certain I would never seek out or actually do in the real wolrd.(I know I can stick my D***k in a pie and get off but I wouldnt call myself pie-curious.)I believe posing this topic to such a open mixed and knowledgeable community as exist here I can get a good understanding of how different people see this.I would be grateful for all and any responses I knowitsnotthemostPC?

I can't understand why so many people have a problem with gay marriage. I know the bible says it is wrong, but not everyone believes in the bible. I don't see christians trying to make it illegal for buddist or pegans to be married(the bible says they should not even live). They beleive differently. Should atheist not be allowed to marry because they don't beleive in the bible? If you don't understand why they want to be married so what? You are not the one that has to understand. If you don't want to see it or it makes you sick, don't go to the wedding. Without quoting the bible or giving any religious reason, why do you think gay marriage is wrong?

And by Indian I mean Native American, not Asian Indian...

Surely you've met such people... they are usually something like 1 millionth Cherokee (it's always Cherokee!) and yet they're always keen to share with the world their 'heritage'... usually in the form of dreamcatchers hung from rear-view mirrors, 'Indian pride' bumper stickers, and tacky southwestern jewelry. My ACTUAL Indian friends can't stand these people.

Tell me, why don't these people realize that they aren't Indians?

I want to get a tattoo about change cause my life is always changing but I haven't figured out how to express it. I thought it would be nice to find a passage or sentence that spoke about change in the bible and then I could get an idea or get the passage itself.

Does love grow stronger when it's given away?

Do you love each person in a new, special way?

Does loving more people make you better able to love?

If you love everyone you meet, does that mean that your love for your significant other isn't special?

If you love everyone, does that mean your love isn't worth anything?

This makes about as much sense as saying that there is such a thing as free will and at the same time it was prophecied that Jesus would arrive.
