Yes the Bible warns us to beware of the Devil who is our adversary and like a roaring Lion seeking whom he can devour.
In James we are told to submit to God, resist the devil
and he (the devil) will flee from you.
I thank God that 31 years ago, Jesus Christ, my Saviour the Lion of Judah set me free from the bondage of sin and free from the Devil.
Jesus Christ, the Blood of Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit are all very powerful.
For the followers of Jesus the Bible tells us that greater is He that is in us (God/Jesus/the Holy Spirit) then he (the devil) that is in the world.

First off, I assume that this is what you believe, and you're, basically, looking for an, "Amen!"
Lots of people seem to do this. I've never understood why, unless it's an ego stroke or something. I thought that Yahoo Answers was supposed to be for people who actually wanted ANSWERS to things that they didn't already "know" (either empirically, by faith, or through their own opinions). But a good-sized chunk of people simply want to know whether or not other people agree with them. So they'll put up something on Yahoo Answers and make like it's an actual QUESTION.
It isn't just "the faithful" who do this. People who have political agendas do this, as well. And people who like celebrities do it, too. And then they'll give 10 points to whomever agrees with them.
No: I do not "know" that The Devil, Lucifer, or Whomever attacks us. What I believe is that people don't like to take responsibility for their own actions, so they prefer to blame some external source of Evil Incarnate.
I also believe that we all have Free Will, and that many Christians have interpreted the story of the fall and the expulsion from the Garden of Eden to mean that our Free Will is our weakness (in that it leaves us open to temptation from The Devil) and that the best thing to do to save our souls is to renounce our Free Will and let our ministers and priests tell us what to think and do.

Well, supposedly your god made him. But really, the good and bad God concept started several thousand years before christianity ever plagurized it. Try lookin up a few other Gods and actually become a little educated about when and why the Devil was first invented. Regurgitating beliefs that others fed you only shows your lack of an honest search for spirituality.

loved that answer dukalink6000 ,, But i have to say i think it is to each his own. In ways i would love to say yes because of how i work and what i work around. But each person must make that up for themself as you have seen in the answers given to us in here. if you have a problem and feel it is to a magnitude then go talk to a Chaplin or a preacher evan a spritial person . i am not assuming this or that but with a question like that i am advising you might... need to . And answers like the ones above need a little more well oppphhhh . this question was asked for a reason. Hope you find the way.

I've always thought that the Devil is the mental manifestation of the possiblity of evil that humanity can always choose to create. In that sense I believe it is very real, and attacks us all the time.
But if you're talking "The Amityville Horror" type stuff, well.....I've yet to see it.

The devil is very real.....his name is Satan. He is all through out the bible. And I know from personal experience he does attack people, through thier jobs, families, friends, schools, money, sin even food. The wonderful thing is, nothing comes to us with out going through God first. So that being said, just know that whatever satan sends your way, God wouldn't allow anything that would be too much for you to handle with his help.

I know that there is a balance in life. One thing cannot exist without the other. So as far as I know i believe there has to be a negative sort of energy to "attack" us, our thoughts, our actions ect. to balance out the Go(o)d energy around us.

There is no imperical evidence which can prove the existence of the "Devil", "God", or the "Easter Bunny". If you believe that they exist, then they might as well exist. It's really your choice!

That brings up an interesting question. Does something have to be correct in order for you to "know" it? Can a person "know" that 1+1=3? If they cannot, then the answer to your question is no one. No one knows that. Not even you.
